Ark: Survival Evolved
Ark: Survival Evolved takes on the survival genre with a unique blend of emergent multiplayer cooperation and competition. Players awake naked and starving on the beach of a mysterious island among a herd of other confused humans. On ARK, they must then hunt, harvest, craft, research technology, and build shelters to protect against scorching days, freezing nights, volatile weather systems, dangerous wildlife, and potential enemies. Use cunning strategy and tactics to tame and ride the many dinosaurs and other primeval creatures roaming the dynamic, persistent ecosystems across land, sea, air, and even underground. Build your character’s strengths and gain items, skills, and pet creatures using in-depth role-playing systems. Start a tribe with hundreds of other players to survive and dominate competing tribes...and ultimately discover the ARK’s true purpose.

Not recommended Posted July 16, 2025 on Steam I have enjoyed Ark for 35,000 hours, one of my favorite games to play with friends and family. I ran a ASM server w/mods for years until today. NOTHING works anymore. Server doesn't match, mods don't work, and of all this is to force us to ASA. I have that game as well, and It sucks. That is why we went back to ASE and now you have managed to screw that also. You had something great. Hope you don't choke on your GREED!!! How do I get a refund!! -
Not recommended Posted November 11, 2025 on Steam I can't say it better than this.... Snail Games Let’s not pretend anymore. You didn’t “accidentally” break everything. You didn’t “unintentionally” destroy years of work and communities. You didn’t “update” to improve anything. You knew exactly what this last update would do. You knew it would break every mod, every server, every map players spent years building. And you did it anyway, so you could herd everyone into ASA, for money, that's all you care about. We see you. We see the contempt you have for the players who made your company relevant in the first place. We see the disingenuous theater of pretending the part owner is some separate entity pulling strings behind your back. You are the same. Same boardroom. Same decisions. Same disdain for your own community. You didn’t just break some files. You tore down thousands of hours of passion and creativity. You removed entire worlds, because you have nothing left to offer except forced obsolescence. Congratulations. You’ve proven once and for all you don’t deserve the goodwill people still tried to give you. It’s over. We won’t be manipulated by your “new platform,” your “new roadmap,” or your excuses. Your game was never yours. It was ours. And you destroyed it. We see you. We won’t forget -
Not recommended Posted July 15, 2025 on Steam This is (was) a great game. But the publisher decided to deliberately kill the game twice, in order to waste money on a failed gamble, while simultaneously lying about their follow-up games. Do not buy, this game is abandoned and will only be touched in order to make playing ist more annoying for the existing player base. Do NOT buy at this point in time! -

Recommended Posted February 18, 2026 on Steam FOR BOTH EXISTING AND NEW PLAYERS !! I can't recommend the game more if you do the following - Open your steam library, find the game, go to properties and under "Game versions and betas" choose ASE : pre-aquatica. Dont even start a game without doing this... Then optional, if you want to save space, prevent steam from installing all the DLCs (or at least those you know you wont play) they take around 260GB while base game is 130GB (you will find this in properties under DLC tab) big W for your storage Start a game and enjoy, be it solo or LAN with friends C: Hope this small tutorial helps -
