Call of Duty: Black Ops

Call of Duty: Black Ops

Call of Duty: Black Ops is the seventh main Call of Duty game and the sequel to Call of Duty: World at War. The game differs from most previous installments, which would involve a usual three-country campaign, while Call of Duty: Black Ops features two playable countries (Russia and the USA) but only has an American campaign. Several new features are also introduced, such as dive-to-prone and the available use of a flashlight on certain weapons. Furthermore, the campaign's playable characters now speak while being controlled by the player. Extra game included within: + Zork (Apple II)

  • Not recommended Posted November 11, 2025 on Steam I think if you are going to charge almost full price of the original game when it was released from so many years ago, the least you could do is include the DLC content for free...otherwise its just greedy towards the old school fan base trying to collect games from their childhood. I also love requiring me to have internet to play zombies solo. Could have fixed that too. Can't even enjoy the game the way I did on my PS3 which was why I purchased it in the first place.
  • Not recommended Posted June 6, 2025 on Steam thanks for selling this 15 year old game for 40 dollars and then still having the audacity to not include the 60 dollars worth of DLC with that. no one is spending 100 dollars just to play everything in this 15 year old game.
  • Not recommended Posted February 6, 2026 on Steam great game but almost 100 dollars with dlc for an almost 16 year old game is insane.
  • Not recommended Posted December 8, 2025 on Steam This game is a great memory, but the price is outrageous. Even on sale this game is way over priced for being released in 2010. Zombies is fun, campaign is fun, multiplayer is fun, but paying 60! dollars for the DLC's is not fun. Fix the price.
  • Not recommended Posted December 23, 2025 on Steam Dear Activision Support and Development Team, I am writing as a long-time Call of Duty fan to express serious concerns about the current state of older Call of Duty titles on PC, particularly those available on Steam. Many of these games have become unsafe to play due to unresolved security issues, including widely reported remote code execution (RCE) vulnerabilities and ongoing hacking problems. As a result, players are not only dealing with ruined multiplayer experiences, but also potential risks to their personal data and system security simply by launching or playing these games online. Because of this, a large portion of the PC player base has stopped playing and buying these titles altogether. This is clearly reflected in the low active player counts on Steam—not because there is no interest, but because players do not feel safe. Many fans would gladly return and spend money if these classic Call of Duty games were properly secured and maintained. But no one wants to spend 60 dollars for a game they can only play campaign on. These titles are an important part of the Call of Duty legacy. Ensuring they are safe to play would not only protect your community, but also restore trust and bring players back to games they genuinely love. I strongly urge Activision to address these security concerns, whether through official patches, improved matchmaking security, or other protective measures. The demand is absolutely there—players just want a hacker-free and safe environment. Plutonium works, but it just isn't the same. We all have made some great memories on ALL the old COD titles, and we have never needed a comeback more than now. Please help bring attention to this matter. PLEASE FIX THE OLD COD TITLES ACTIVISION!!!!!!!!! JUST DO IT!!!! YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!!! Thank you for your time and for listening to the concerns of me, along with many others of the COD community. Sincerely, doogus A concerned Call of Duty fan
  • Recommended Posted July 16, 2025 on Steam Lets get one things straight, Black Ops 1 wasnt just a game, it was a cultural event. Released back in 2010, when life was simpler, snacks were cheaper, and your biggest worry was someone rage-quitting and disconnecting the lobby. BO1 was peak of Call Of Duty. The golden age before the franchise traded gritty storytelling and iconic maps for wall-running jetpack circus tricks and 16 different editions of the same M4. This game had it all, the campaign? Brilliant. A dark, twisting storyline about numbers, mind control, and Cold War paranoia. You didnt just play Mason, you became Mason. (What do the numbers mean!?) still echoes in my brain like a war flashback every time I see a calculator. Then there was multiplayer, oh boy. Nuketown, Firing Range, Summit, maps so perfect they have been recycled more times than your moms Christmas wrapping paper. No weird operator powers, no glowing anime camos, no loot box bingo. Just raw, boots-on-ground chaos with weapons that felt like weapons, not laser tag toys. And lets not forget Zombies. KIND. DER. TOTEN. The one map that truly separated the casuals from the caffeine-fueled sweatlords who knew every window, every round, every secret like it was gospel. If you didnt stay up till 3am trying to revive your mate while screaming (Crawl to me, bro), did you even play Black Ops? Nowadays, COD feels like a mobile game that some how escaped into the wild. Skill-based matchmaking makes every match feel like a job interview, and the lobby is full of slide-canceling 12-year-olds hopped up on GFuel and unresolved trauma. But back then? BO1 was magic. The last great Call of Duty before the franchise sold its soul to microtransactions and TikTok trick shots. Its not just nostalgia, it was genuinely better. Bring back BO1. Remaster it. Re-release it. Tattoo it on my soul. Because let be honest, this was the last time Call of Duty truly hit different.
