Not recommended Posted February 6, 2026 on Steam This is one of those games where I wish there was a "neutral" recommendation rather than only 'yes' or 'no'. I would never recommend paying full price for this game because it's not worth $15. I bought this on sale for $6 and even then I'm struggling to justify the cost. I do think it will be okay to come back to every now and then when I'm bored of other games, but it's definitely not one you immerse yourself in or get attached to. The Pros: - the game is cute and cozy as advertised - it looks like there will be some cute decorating and customizing of the little island which will be enjoyable - the characters are adorable The Cons: - there's no keybind customization options - the user interface is clunky - feels like a mobile game - tasks locked behind time (example: early game task locked behind 19 hour timer) - basically just fetch quests over and over again I'll add more as I continue playing because again, this is more of a neutral recommendation than a 'no', but the 'no' felt more fitting than a 'yes' in terms of my feelings. It'll still cure boredom for small increments of time and since it is a cozy game it's good if you want something simple and mindless to wind down. -
Not recommended Posted June 28, 2025 on Steam Don’t get me wrong it is a very cozy and cute game, but unlike animal crossing and stardew valley it’s just extremely repetitive. The backgrounds are way too much to look at and it’s always a hassle to find any quest items, managing resources for the game is hard as well because the bears demand more and more each time, not a lot gives you money besides growing things, the bears are also very repetitive and you don’t really get to know much about them until a certain level of hearts. If you like animal crossing I cannot recommend this and instead would recommend slime rancher. Love the art style of this game but it just isn’t a good one unfortunately. -
Recommended Posted June 10, 2025 on Steam Well worth the money spent. Perfect for me personally. I just wanted something fun to do a couple hours a day. No stress. Cute artwork as well. True to its name. Super cozy. -
Recommended Posted June 18, 2025 on Steam endless tasks to do and things to collect thankfully the game has limited content per real-world-day otherwise I may have to check myself into rehab 10/10 no notes -
Recommended Posted January 19, 2026 on Steam I'm not sure if this game is really cozy or not. I mean...you're helping dead bears come to terms with the trauma in their life that has stopped them moving on. The gameplay is cozy sure, but the story gets...pretty dark at times. That said, the game is wonderful, and I very much enjoyed it. The gameplay loop is fairly simple, you log on each day and go talk to all the spirit bears, and see if any of them want help with anything. There will be some days a lot of them want help, and others where there's almost nothing. And some weeks where bears will want help multiple times, others where they go long periods in between asking for help. Sometimes the help they want is just a chat, other times it's something that will require you to complete quests for other bears, or simple fetch quests. There's a good variety, and each quest lets you gain more insight into the bear's previous life. In between helping bears you can fish, plant some trees or flowers, go scavenging, or acquire and care for some pets (also spirits), which extends the game time each day by however much time you feel like investing. Each season (in real life) brings with it new fish and collectibles so you're encouraged to keep coming back. It's overall a very relaxing and cozy gameplay loop. But the story...again, less cozy. But I won't say more on that as it's something you need to find for yourself.
Steam Deck
So the game performs perfectly on the Deck, but the one criticism I do have that I think would be alleviated by playing on a PC is that you’ll quite often try to interact with something, and the game interacts with something else instead. You soon get used to it for the most part, on where the best place to stand is for the object you want to interact with, but there’s still often times where I want to feed my birds, and it takes me a few attempts to interact with them rather than the surrounding decor. That said, it’s not a major game-breaking deal, and more just a minor inconvenience at times, that is somewhat alleviated by placing things further apart or using the Accordion to harvest for you. But it’s just something I felt was worth mentioning for those who are deciding between Deck or PC. Otherwise, everything plays perfectly on the Deck, and I feel it’s quite a comfy game for it. -
Recommended Posted June 9, 2025 on Steam I really wanted to play this game for several hours straight and did the following: 1. Turn off auto cloud save. 2. Disconnect from internet. 3. change time in settings. 4. Play. I did this and my save is all fine when I log in again with real time (The cats are adorable!!). Achievements unlocked too. But I saw people experiencing bugs after they did time travel (go back in time), so be careful.
