  • Recommended Posted November 23, 2025 on Steam There is something about this game that keeps you wanting to go back. It's really smartly designed. In a way, it's both simple and complex, it's vague and dark, but when you beat it, you realize it was so clear and bright. The story is amazing, leaves a lot to think about, without being flooded with tons of cinematics and dialogue. On cinematics, it has one of the best opening cinematic ever, so badass. I found an upscaled version of it on YT I watch it from time to time The way New Game Plus loops into the story is something I experienced for the first time in this game, so smart, I felt that journey myself, understood it better, and wanted to go at it again If you're new to the souls-like genre, this game can be frustrating if you're not patient. I know that the reputation is that these games are hard, and sure, they can be challenging, but think of them as they need problem-solving rather than get gud. There is always an easier way to tackle the obstacle at hand, you just need to find it. The remastered version is a great upgrade, it runs smoothly with no issues and better anti-aliasing. I found it to be more visually appealing than DS2 Scholar of the First Sin.

  • Recommended Posted January 3, 2026 on Steam First playthrough I "used" my 1st firekeeper soul, missed Havel's Ring, let Lautrec betray me, accidently hit the sun guy then proceeded to accidently kill him, got my revenge and then handed in the firekeepers soul to upgrade my flask, hit new game + after the final boss and missed all the DLC. Great time
