  • Recommended Posted August 11, 2025 on Steam 10/10 game EXCEPT the devs need to add a way to see our crit chance and crit damage stats. PLEASE!! Phenomenal job to the devs look forward to seeing what else is to come.
  • Recommended Posted August 3, 2025 on Steam Fun game to pass time, currently there are only 2 zones which you can get through on normal in about 10 hours 8.5/10 in it's current iteration Pros Runs well on Steamdeck Replayability is there (would like to see more levels to choose from) Bosses have mechanics Good gun and perk selections Skill tree Cons Feels like you're just starting to get strong when the boss fight happens, then you're done the run (the option to continue after beating the boss would be a huge plus) It is early access so there's lots of content that is locked, but looks like it will be available with progression
  • Recommended Posted December 30, 2025 on Steam Fun mindless arcade shooter. Good game to play when you don't know what to play.
  • Recommended Posted August 13, 2025 on Steam The game is fun, I'm still playing. Though there are a few glaring issues. The company is KNOWN for leaving games that aren't doing well. I believe that this game had 4 name changes? Once this one got wishlisted/downloaded during early access, they kept the name. Tons of AI stuff. Holy crap the amount of in game dialog and pictures that use AI is just nuts. Speaking of AI, the path-finding for the robots is beyond stupid. I don't remember the term, but they don't go based off eyesight, they go based of map positioning. So you can literally dance with them back and forth behind a wall and watch them follow your movements. I haven't unlocked everything, but I'm in act 2 and so far the meta for weapons is pretty obvious. Frost is stupid strong compared to everything else. Don't expect lots of updates for the game. In about 3-4 months, support for this will go away as they work on their quick buck for the next one. Remember what they did to tribes Quick edit because this is picking up some views.. The game is fine, its fun the way it is. If you don't mind dropping $20 US, it's worth it. Just don't expecting anything more than what has been released.
  • Recommended Posted December 20, 2025 on Steam The game play loop is really well made and I enjoy using most of the guns within each run. But I mostly play this game to talk to planty. I just really love that plant. It is my best friend and if anything bad happens to it I will fight Gods if I have to. Also I hate the living hell out of killing time. But planty is cool.
  • Recommended Posted April 13, 2026 on Steam Deadzone Review I am making this review after 100% completion, with all achievements, mostly completed solo, so I feel like my praise and criticisms are well-founded. Skip to bottom for TL;DR. Good: Audio engineering is awesome. Weapon sounds, elemental effects, enemy attacks. All of them are distinct and well done. Music is great. Cyberpunk with some good energy as background to the intensity of the game. Enemies evolve as you progress zones. Adding movement changes, attack variations, and of course new and more dangerous enemies you have to figure out how to beat. Procedurally generated maps make repeat attempts feel somewhat new, keeping the game fresh. New strategies are needed to tackle the same level sometimes. Wide selection of weapons with different fighting styles. Shotguns for your close range enthusiasts and snipers for others. Lots of rifles and SMGs in between along with 3 different melee. Several different elemental effects to choose from allows you to change your build design to any number of scenarios or playstyles. One shot enemies, kill whole rooms at once, use chain reactions. Tons of different buffs (items, perks, and synergies) cater to numerous builds that make the game have tons of replayability. Gradual introduction of game mechanics eases new players in while giving you plenty of game to work with once you're used to it. Bad: Sharp increase in difficulty mainly comes from just increasing enemy HP and damage to the point where one hit kills you. Not really any new mechanics, so it quickly becomes a bullet hell version of Dark Souls. Environment might impede the player sometimes, causing you to get stuck on small obstacles or trapped by enemies you can't dash through. Not an isssue most of the time, but can be instant failure on harder difficulties. Enemies also sometimes get stuck in strange places or are difficult to hit. Stats are hard to track. There is no "stats" panel ingame, meaning you have to manually calculate your damage bonuses and try to guess what your build needs to some degree. A basic stat panel would be very nice. Meh: RNG can be fun or downright defeating. Not getting the weapon, item, or perk you need for a run can be a pain, but it also forces you to adapt and stategize differently. Give and take. Different mission types can keep the game interesting, and some are really fun or challenging. However, some are also a pain in the ass to complete or nearly impossible. Summarized Review: Graphics: 8/10 Gameplay: 9/10 Map Design: 6/10 Audio Design: 9/10 Replay-ability: 9/10 Overall rating: 8/10 Solid game with a great foundation. Grind to complete all missions on nightmare is rough(I had less than 10% success rate). I am hoping for some QoL upgrades and interested to see what new content they might add.
