Recommended Posted October 12, 2025 on Steam Love the game! Just a small suggestion for the devs — could you add a shuffle option for the music? There are so many great tracks (even DLC ones!) and it’d be awesome to hear them all randomly instead of just one. -
Recommended Posted October 22, 2025 on Steam This hit me right in the nostalgia. I grew up with the anime, and it felt great to finally field the Digimon I watched on TV. First thing I did was chase Patamon so I could build toward Seraphimon; childhood dream unlocked. Combat is classic turn-based: easy to learn, but on Hard it can be punishing in a good way. Turn order, buffs/debuffs, and smart team comps really matter. The quick battle option for weaker encounters is a nice quality-of-life touch. One heads-up: the personality system can be confusing. If you’re trying to hit the exact personalities for DNA Digivolutions, you’ll probably want a guide and a bit of DigiFarm tinkering. It’s not a deal-breaker, just opaque at first. The story has a good length and a couple of great plot twists. Pacing drags here and there, but the payoffs land. Main story plus all side quests took me about 58 hours. What I liked most: the battles and the sheer freedom in digivolution. With 400+ Digimon to chase, it’s easy to lose track of time. If you like turn-based JRPGs and Digimon, I recommend it. It’s nostalgia done right, with enough depth to keep veterans engaged. 9.5/10. -
Recommended Posted October 19, 2025 on Steam It's like if the Pokemon company actually cared about making a good game with a good story. -
Recommended Posted March 15, 2026 on Steam I love the base game. Great story, great characters, great experience. Highly recommend the game. For all that's holy, DO NOT BUY THE SEASON PASS! All 3 of the DLCs are cookie cutter in design, and even the additional digimon aren't worth the price tag, especially when 5 of 15 of them are Omnimon variants. Yes, I just came from finishing DLC3 to post a positive review about Digimon STS but to also warn against the season pass. For as passionate as I am about the base game, the DLCs instill a great burning apathy in me, they are so freaking mediocre and not worth your time or effort. Except for Blackagumon and Blackgabumon. I do recommend them. That's not the season pass, and unlike the DLCs, you can access the Black mons from the start of the base-game's storyline. The DLCs are scaled for end-game, so everything they offer does nothing for you because you've already max-statted your end-game team and have every base-game digimon. -
Recommended Posted October 5, 2025 on Steam Great game - easily the best Digimon game to date, but really dishonest DLC practices by Bamco, I'd even go so far as to call them predatory practices. There are some parts of the game that definitely need more QOL improvements (Digifarm and surrounding UI issues with it), but those can be addressed via patch. Very fun, feels like you're playing through a high quality Digimon movie. Now onwards to the biggest issue with the release/community: DLC AND DISHONEST MARKETING To market and sell an "Ultimate" edition that contains "All" DLC, and then to drop day 1 DLC a few minutes after launch that isn't included in the "Ultimate" edition is beyond dishonest. It's scummy and spits in the face of your supporters. The anime song pack and the 3 extra Outer Dungeons should have been included in the $120 USD Ultimate Edition package. Had Bamco been up front about this, the community would likely not be as upset as it is surrounding this issue. TLDR: Buy the base game, don't buy into their "Deluxe" or "ultimate edition" it doesn't contain all of the DLC (Unless you want to cut out a ton of the grind, then the outer dungeons will help, but you could also play the game on "story" difficulty to just experience the story and not have to spend any extra). -
