• Not recommended Posted April 17, 2026 on Steam I wouldn't go as far as to call Doors *bad*, but it's a bit mediocre all around, and there are so many other games just like this that do it as well or better. It's still a moreish casual puzzle game, and some of the scenes are visually interesting, but I felt irritated every time I found one of the (big! glaringly bright!) hidden jewels directly next to items necessary to complete the puzzle where nobody could possibly miss them, and the narrative has the general feel of taking itself a bit too seriously while also being goofy in a way that's too bland to be endearing. I want to complain about too many sliding tile puzzles and the like, but it's not like that's unusual among puzzle games that try only this hard. I expect I'll forget I ever played this.
 • Recommended Posted July 4, 2025 on Steam Do not play this to scratch your head and squint at your screen. Play it if you want to hear nice clinky sound design and pleasant little tinks and taps solving simple puzzle boxes. It feels like it was made mostly for simple gameplay on mobile. This isn't to say it isn't worth your time. Just do not expect a THE ROOM type experience. You can tell a lot of thought went into design and sound, and every object being enjoyable to look at with a consistent style. It just isn't very complicated.
 • Recommended Posted August 31, 2025 on Steam This a smooth relaxing puzzle game with easy point&click puzzles in a tiny space. Good as in-between. Reminds me of The Room serie, only in smaller space.
 • Recommended Posted March 19, 2026 on Steam Fun but glitchy puzzler collection about figuring out how to open the next hyper-stylized themed locked door puzzle. There's some pretense at plot but ultimately it's about the puzzles themselves. They're fun and vary from challenging to solvable-by-blindly-clicking-on-everything (the sad part is that difficulty varies up and down like a rollercoaster instead of building up towards the end). Still, if you want a fun pretty brain-teaser, give it and its sequel a go.
 • Not recommended Posted September 23, 2025 on Steam I could happily go the rest of my life without playing another game where the "story" is a bunch of random notes about chaos and order and the need to balance the two, which read like something one of my crackhead neighbors would corner me and make me listen to when they see me out walking the dog. Gameplay gets repetitive quickly. As the game wears on, the puzzles get more time consuming rather than more difficult. Lots of rotating stuff and moving things around in the right order, except 25% of the time that you click to move something, it doesn't move the first time. Most of the puzzles boil down to clicking on everything to see what is interactive and then doing the obvious thing.
 • Recommended Posted December 8, 2025 on Steam
Doors: Paradox

5-12 hours to complete, Doors: Paradox is a point and click casual puzzle game in which the puzzles are themed doors, and you are trying very hard to open all 58 of them. There are three chapters in total with about 20 doors each, and light story elements involving a mysterious shadow cat that is definitely not an Agent of Chaos. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3620003307 Genuinely a fantastic puzzle game! I spent a lot of time pondering, as many of the solutions were not immediately obvious, which made it quite a pleasant challenge. There are quite a few puzzle door themes, and I’m really happy with the variety; the developers must have such lovely minds. My favorite themes were the horror doors, and while it was difficult to narrow them down, my top three doors were Infernal Fire, a spooky door with a really fun mechanic; Murder Motel, where you need to play detective a bit to figure out the solution; and Telephone Thriller, featuring a mystery and a lovely telephone booth. As an honorable mention, there is a Door called Assembly Escape, which is just as interesting as it sounds! While not complicated, the entire door was an assembly line, and it was very creative!! I really suggest playing Doors: Paradox if you like puzzle games and want more games like The Room series, and if you end up picking up this game and enjoying it, I strongly recommend the developer’s other game I’ve played and liked, Boxes: Lost Fragments. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3620003925
If you liked this review and want to read about similar games or just support me on my journey of playing my entire Steam backlog, you can join my curator group, Rune's Reviews! Have a nice day!
