Dragon Age: Inquisition
Dragon Age: Inquisition is a role-playing game and the third main game in the Dragon Age series. It is set in the Thedas continent, the same fantasy world as the two previous games. It consist of two large countries: Ferelden (from Dragon Age: Origins) and Orlais, as well as the land inbetween. True to the spirit of the series the character can be customized for appearance, sex, class and race. The available races are dwarf, elf, human, and Qunari and the classes are mage, rogue, and warrior with three specializations each. To grow the Inquisition experience needs to be earned by completing quests, which allows the player to further define allegiances and pursue romances. A custom party can be defined and each member benefits from experience as it opens up access to better weapons and more abilities. Power points open up new areas and Inquisition points define the influence over the region; each new level provides a perk that benefits the entire Inquisition.

Not recommended Posted December 20, 2025 on Steam Amazing and fun game on Console. On Steam is a totally different situation. I returned this game because I couldn't play it. Why could I not play it? Because this stupid EA software layer EA requires you to have in order to play it locked my CPU at 100% and the title screen was running at 1 frame ever 2 seconds. It was insane. I had to quit the game through task manager. After about 30 minutes, I just gave up and got a refund. If I want to play this again, I'll just pull our the PS4. I don't know what the deal with this EA software layer but it ruined a perfectly good game. -
Not recommended Posted March 29, 2026 on Steam EA Launcher making it impossible to launch this game. Stupid. I enjoyed what I played of it, but the game is not good enough to put up with this launcher garbage -
Recommended Posted June 29, 2025 on Steam No game has ever touched this one in terms of my enjoyment, even if individual aspects may have been executed better. How could this game win Game of The Year in 2014 I wonder?! LOL. 1. The story and the writing: Incredible characters who are believably of their world, a narrative that explores institutional power and religious faith in a fantasy setting deeply. 3 advisors, 9 companions comprise your inner circle. The world is incredibly immersive with top notch attention to detail in ambient dialogue, codex entries and notes. This game *still* makes my jaw drop, makes me weep, makes me cheer. Otherwise, the gameplay has its flaws and the story does not hit like Dragon Age Origins. 2. For an eleven year old game it's still surprisingly gorgeous! This game is technical achievement in terms of the graphics. I play on my system with my graphics set to Ultra now, but back when I was school, I just play this game on low settings on my low spec system. 3. Yeah, I know some people don't like it, but personally I love the open world. It's so lovingly crafted. Considering I've got a thousand hours in the game and have been playing off and on for eleven years. I am *still* discovering places I haven't been and quests I haven't done. What hurted it the most was the open world fetch quests system, however it has its good moments. 4. The crafting! If crafting is your bag, this is a fantastic game for it. You can gather to your hearts content and make powerful weapons and armors (or just stick with the dropped stuff, but I personally enjoy the crafting). 5. THE MUSIC and SOUNDTRACK are so memorable and always sticks with me! 6. The War Table! The time gating is kind of meh for me, but I loved how you could use your advisors to dispatch inquisition. Anyway, highly recommend this game to other people who have the time to invest. After the main story finished probably around 35 to 45 hours, you can play so many side quests or continue with the DLC's for around 100+ hours, considering this is not my first playthrough, the DLC's are important so you can know the true ending of this game and continue with Dragon Age Failguard. In a nutshell, if you’re new to the franchise or you just want to play a really good medieval fantasy RPG, then I highly recommend this game. Rating 8.5/10! -
Recommended Posted December 26, 2025 on Steam I use to be so against how different this game was back when it released. I'm a huge huge fan of DA1, still say thats a masterpiece of a game. But this one was such a huge departure from the first 2 games. World is massive and the game feels like you are playing an offline MMO. Combat mechanics are fun for running around and killing things. One of the biggest things I missed from DA1 is the strategy setup of the battlefield and challenge it presented. I enjoyed the characters but not as much as DA1 and even DA2's. Played this a lot coop also for the first time. Super fun. Dragon hunting with friends! We did 100% that we could from all the side content, collectables, and DLC's. Got it on sale too during Christmas. Crazy it's been 11 years since it released. -

Recommended Posted November 8, 2025 on Steam this was my entry to the dragon age series back in 2016 and still i consider it one of my favorite games. i love the plot, environmental and costume design, and the companions are lively and wonderful. my favorite companions are solas, sera and cole, and i consider solas to be one of the best written character in videogames ever. many find the main antagonist lacking, and i can see their perspective, but i love evil old men and body horror so corypheus striked a chord with me. the locations are absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing and i found myself just taking a pause between quests and admiring the view. the fightings are quick and fun and the abilities are really satisfying, especially when playing a mage or a bow-and-arrow rogue. the politics part of the game is also really intriguing. the plot deals with religion, faith and personhood, and the toll it takes to be a chosen one (namely, the obliteration of personhood). the lore is beautifully woven into the plot, and it is so satisfying to uncover ancient mysteries, especially in the trespasser dlc. overall the game is a wonderful experience. also sera is my wife!
