  • Not recommended Posted September 14, 2025 on Steam This game is honestly terrific but they NEED to fix this issue where a single person hitting altf4 shuts down the game for everyone. Yes, you can be winning by a landslide and if a single person leaves the match it voids the game for everyone basically denying you your win. I refuse to play this until they fix it.
  • Recommended Posted September 12, 2025 on Steam this game goes hard, the gameplay mechanic of "Maintenance in Progress. The game is not available during this time." is really innovative!! >Very good, i like trunks, trunks is so cool, trunks has a sword, that is also very cool, please play so you can be trunks too, I really like trunks >The devs are some of the biggest fans of Dragon Ball i've ever seen, the sheer love and detail in every characters kit, alt outfits, etc is just almost second to none in the franchise. There's even several deep cuts *in a starting roster* now while i'm not the best MOBA player, it's a very approachable and fun time, rounds are also incredibly short as opposed to suffering from what I've heard in League games going up to 40 mins to potentially way longer. 1.
  • Not recommended Posted September 12, 2025 on Steam fun game, but the way people can just crash a server when they lose by ALT+F4ing the game and waste everyone's time and getting no rewards at all for it is infuriating. if it don't get fixed soon, i feel the game won't last long
  • Not recommended Posted December 19, 2025 on Steam Not Recommended (From Someone Who Actually Played the Game) I’ll just get this out of the way first so it’s clear this isn’t a “skill issue” review: I was S rank in every role. I’ve put in the time. I’ve seen the systems. I understand how this game works — which is exactly why I’m done with it. Let’s start at launch, where things immediately went great. By “great,” I mean persistent connection issues that lasted from release all the way through halfway into Season 1 (yes, the second ranked season). This wasn’t some mysterious edge-case bug — it was basic poor optimization and bad servers. A fantastic first impression for a competitive live-service game. Then there’s the monetization, which deserves a slow clap for sheer audacity. The game technically rewards premium currency… at a blistering pace of 10 gems per week, while a single new character costs 250 gems. Since launch — including events — I’ve earned 165 gems total. Incredible. At this rate, I might unlock a character sometime next decade. The star collection progression system somehow makes things even worse. Long-term players are actively punished for playing early. With recent changes, anyone who played since launch essentially overpaid for every hero they unlocked, by at least 250 gems’ worth. And that’s being generous, since this only accounts for the level 31 change that now allows unlocking Season 1 characters. Oh, and let’s not forget: it was originally intended that you would never be able to unlock newly released characters through star collection — only the previous season’s. This was only changed after backlash, not because it was a bad idea (it was), but because players noticed. Always a good sign. Hero leveling costs scale exponentially, while zeni — the standard non-premium currency — trickles in at a comically low rate. Translation: the longer you play, the harder progression becomes. For context, leveling from 1–109 costs the same as 109–119. That’s not balance — that’s a punishment loop. Balance-wise, new characters arrive feeling hilariously overtuned. SSJ4 Vegeta in particular feels like a panicked overcorrection to SSJ3 Goku, and it paints a very clear picture of how future releases will be handled. And wow, what a coincidence — Season 1 characters got nerfed right as Season 2 launched. Totally unrelated, I’m sure. What’s truly impressive is how every single season introduces new, innovative ways to make the game worse for F2P players and active players. Which is fascinating, because those are usually the people you want to keep in a live-service game. Bold strategy. As for gameplay: don’t expect creativity. This isn’t even as fun as Pokémon Unite. Scoring and backcapping barely matter. Towers barely matter as long as one is still standing. Deaths and XP feel irrelevant most of the time. The optimal strategy is to play defensively, avoid risks, and wait for objectives — because doing anything else is just asking to lose. It feels less like a MOBA and more like a diet League of Legends with fewer options and less agency. And before the Dragon Ball fans show up to explain that “they need to make money”: spare me. Literally every other successful F2P game figured this out years ago. Monetization does not have to come at the expense of fairness, progression, and player goodwill. The devs here didn’t just miss the memo — they ignored it entirely. Don’t play this. It’s greedy, restrictive, and steadily getting worse the more you engage with it. And that’s coming from someone who really, genuinely tried. -SR
  • Not recommended Posted September 11, 2025 on Steam fun game, but people can quit at the end and you don't get your rewards, people rage quit game crashes no rewards, which is so dumb cause you get hero shards win or lose.
  • Not recommended Posted September 11, 2025 on Steam So apparently if someone quits at any point during a match it cancels the game for everyone. I made it to the victory screen, an opposing team member quits and we get no credit for winning the match. How this made it to release is confusing but yeah no... I'm not wasting any more of my time on this.
