• Not recommended Posted March 18, 2026 on Steam This game has now been hacked twice with this second time containing actual malware being put on peoples pcs. DO NOT INSTALL THIS GAME! THIS GAME IS A DANGER TO YOUR PC!
• Not recommended Posted March 18, 2026 on Steam Play this game at your own risk. They've been hacked multiple times now, ranging from previous harmless hacks which changed the login banner image to spread awareness about the security vulnerabilities, to the most recent hack happening today, March 18th, that injected a malicious RCE malware into the game, allowing hackers to steal information from your PC.
• Not recommended Posted March 19, 2026 on Steam Mr. President, a second hack has hit Pan Studios! 1. Not acknowledging that something serious is happening 2. People get malware injected into their devices upon starting the game 3. The community has to come up with a temporary fix until the devs publicly address the situation 4. Pan Studios finally making an announcement downplaying it by saying it was only an "abnormal login issue" and nothing else 5. Giving out compensation rewards that are worth absolutely nothing 6. Killing their entire leftover reputation and trust towards the community No matter how good the game is, this behavior should not be supported in any way.
• Recommended Posted January 20, 2026 on Steam I've played this game since launch (ignore my Steam playtime, I have just over 300 hours in it), and this is what you need to know: First, this game is a fixer-upper, and the devs are very active in engaging and listening to the community. So far they've added a lot of QoL features and fixes, and they've been very up-front with the issues that people have or have had with the game and their desire to fix them. Patch notes and fixes are frequent, at a rate of 3-4 times a week right now. This is good. This is VERY good. About the gameplay, it's anime Warframe. For some of you, that's all you need to know. The gameplay loop is satisfying, the characters are powerful and interesting, and the story is engaging. The music is FANTASTIC. I find myself humming it frequently. Graphics are hit-or-miss, but they're working on it. The game runs well on my system (30-60fps depending on the situation) but the main issues are with the art style.I liked the way it looked at first, but apparently some people didn't and they changed it. Now everything looks flat and they say they're changing it again. Like I said, it's a fixer-upper. Melee weapons are sadly useless right now. They do next to no damage compared to character skills, and you'll find a majority of people use the same scythe because of its ability to make you zoom across maps at a high rate of speed. They need rebalancing. Ranged weapons are fun but their use depends on the character. The event loops are a bit long, being about 40 days between major story content updates with a few mini-events in-between, and new characters are introduced one or two times during that period. This is all subject to change, and they're probably doing long event loops while they fix some of the more glaring issues. Also, if you like grinding -- this is your game. Some people AFK grind, I just like putting on a podcast and getting it done. Since there's no stamina in this game, you can play as little or as much as you want. If you want to spend eight hours in a day unlocking characters and increasing your player level, you're only constrained by your own time. I can see this being the next No Man's Sky or Warframe in that the devs put in some hard work and make it an incredible game. All in all, I'm very glad I gave this game a chance. I hope you will be too. edit: Addressing some comments. The economy system is great and very F2P friendly. Every character and weapon is unlockable through grinding for coupon-like items. You use those coupons to play a short 5-10 minute mission to gain parts for crafting weapons or shards used to get characters (or rank them up). You CAN pay real money to unlock characters/weapons early, but it's not required. The only gacha in the game is for cosmetics, like character skins and costumes. There are also weapon skins and effects for your character, like auras and character emotes (like dances or cute things like a giant cardboard box). The only thing you spend for characters and weapons is your own time. I also updated the section about graphics to clarify that I meant the art style. edit 2: Anyone who says the devs don't listen isn't actually reading the patch notes. Many (but not all) complaints that were listed in the discord or other official channels have been fixed or addressed. There was a very large in-game message in the patch notes around the end of December that addressed a lot of things and mentioned plans for several fixes. So saying the devs don't listen simply isn't true. Also, I'd like to recommend that people actually read the negative reviews for the game. Some of them make several legitimate points, especially how the game's balance is off for a lot of the release characters (I'm lucky that Lady Nifle is my favorite, but seriously -- please buff Hellfire and Sibylle) and that there's pretty much no endgame right now. However, every F2P game gets to the point where you just log on, spend ten minutes doing dailies, and then log off unless there was a content update, so that complaint is moot. The grind for gold-tier demon wedges does suck but at this moment you don't need them so there's plenty of time to fix the issue.
• Not recommended Posted January 27, 2026 on Steam [EDIT: The game has been hacked twice and the most recent one caused the game to install malware onto user's PCs via the game update delivery system. I can not in good faith recommend or continue to play the game when this kind of stuff happens. I have uninstalled with no intent to return. These security issues are a prime example of why Steam should not allow 3rd party launchers.] I have over 120 hours on the standalone client. I'm trial rank 60+ comfortably in end-game content. The game wanted to use the gameplay of Warframe but make it into an anime gacha. At the last minute they dropped the character & weapon gacha system (some high-value costume cosmetics are still gacha,) but the foundation was built AS A GACHA GAME. The gameplay is shallow and built for mobile. Each character has two skills and a passive. One of these is an "Ultimate." That means that each character really only has one skill with a bigger, slower nuke or a pseudo-transformation state. Melee & firearms are abysmal. Don't even try. Everything that's viable late game is a stat stick. This dev team saw Warframe and thought, "We can do that too." Come to find out they couldn't. To be clear, I don't take issue with them copying Warframe's gameplay mechanics. I like it. The issue is that it does all of it in a lesser "Temu Warframe" capacity that makes it annoying to play. The game has been out for a few months (only recently on Steam) and there's countless bugs still in the game since the standalone launch that cripple controller support, cause menus to become unresponsive and the devs have handwaved feedback about it saying, "it takes time to fix things." Bugs that have been in since day one still exist. After literal months. Let that sink in. Every feature is a bastardized version of Warframe's gameplay. There's bullet jumping, but it's less effective than simply sprinting and dashing. There's wall jumping but it's horrible, barely functions and is completely unnecessary. The game uses the "Combo" system Warframe uses, but firing your weapon cancels your combo counter. There's no way to aim down sights without firing. You can glide, but since you can't just ADS you have to actively fire and reload. Just no. The early game seems extremely promising, but once you get into the late game the grind is unreal and there's layers upon layers of "farm this to make this, to then make this, to then make this" it's absurd. It wouldn't be so bad if every character didn't boil down to "spam the skill button after ulting." I can tolerate grind for grind's sake when the gameplay is good. But this is not. Two skills is simply not enough when melee & firearms are not viable and even my favorite characters quickly became monotonous when every encounter boiled down to this method of play (ult & spam skill.) Challenge is strictly "numbers go up" without mechanics or nuance. The hardest content in the game is really just a DPS check to beat a timer. Mods exist but this system allows you to use duplicates, so while you have eight slots, the vast majority of your build will consist of duplicates. Melee weapons have transformative mods (stance mods) but with them being so awful you won't need/use them. It might be good eventually, but it isn't right now. The systemic issues at a foundational level are all a result of the game being designed as a gacha first, mobile-friendly title. It suffers from this more than any other gacha game on the market, and while I GREATLY respect them removing the character & weapon gachas, they should have delayed the game another year while they ironed out all of the systems that rely on this design philosophy.
• Not recommended Posted January 22, 2026 on Steam I do not typically write reviews for games. But as someone who sees the mixed reviews and has dumped around 200 hours on the game prior to the Steam release, I wanted to throw my two cents in as a casual player. To begin, the developers have made steps to make improvements to their game. Although it could be argued that some of these quality of life changes should have been considered prior to the game launch, and instead were forced to be implemented in after a rushed launch, I still appreciate their transparency within the game and their social media platform. The game itself looks beautiful. The music has made me at several points pause to listen to it. Of course, being able to get any character for "free" is fun and I've been deeply looking forward to upcoming characters. But onto the negatives. Right now, the game has fundamental issues with characters and gameplay loop. The game right now is just skill or ultimate spam, rendering weapons useless in this game for almost all characters, being only used for stat sticks. Some characters on launch are currently very weak, not receiving enough buffs from the transition from a gacha 4/5 star system into what they have now. The gameplay loop itself is too grindy and does not feel rewarding enough. The events are very uncreative and lack any type of engagement with your characters. Movement feels clunky and isn't as smooth as other competing games. Getting to the end game content feels very boring as well, with too much repetition and not enough payoff. Will I continue playing this game? Yes. But would I recommend this game, at the current state? No. I think it would be best to see how the game adapts and if they make any ambitious changes to their systems. You would not be missing anything by playing later: all the characters and weapons will always be available to be obtained without money and newer characters will be better suited for current content. There is no potential of FOMO here, compared to other live service games (in regards solely to obtaining characters). However, this game is free. If you have time, feel free to try it out and see if it's a game you'd want to stick around with and hope for improvement in the long run. Just as I am hoping to one day be able to change this review to yes. Cheers.
