Dying Light
Dying Light is a first-person, action survival horror game set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, players traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population. At night, the hunter becomes the hunted, as the infected become aggressive and more dangerous. Most frightening are the predators which only appear after sundown. Players must use everything in their power to survive until the morning’s first light.

Recommended Posted March 19, 2026 on Steam This might be one of the top 5 games with the best community I've ever seen. A stranger suddenly appeared and joined me on missions, and even gave me a machine gun while I was trying to kill zombies with a water pipe and I'm not kidding. Whoever you are, thank you buddy, you gave me an unforgettable gaming experience. -
Recommended Posted February 20, 2026 on Steam great game, fun combat and parkour, BUT i'll warn you about something, if you boot the game and your saves are suddenly gone DO, NOT MAKE A NEW ONE! making a new one will delete all your old saves! just quit the game and reboot it,, your saves will be back, i looked it up before i started a new save thankfully. -
Recommended Posted February 2, 2026 on Steam After playing Dying Light: The Beast, I wasn't sure how this one would hold up. Strangely enough, it's actually better in a lot of key aspects. Where "The Beast" impressed me with its picturesque landscapes and visual splendour, the original's got a far more immersive setting—gritter, apocalyptic and much more memorable. Additionally, the scale of the world is significantly larger by my estimation, and I haven't even touched any of the DLC's yet! Characters are of considerable interest here too, which obviously makes it easier to stay invested throughout the campaign arcs. I also liked having access to many weapons/tools/skills early on, as combat felt less constrained compared to what was initially offered in "The Beast". But, the biggest surprise of all was the parkour. I expected this to be a regression, especially after having praised traversal so heavily in "The Beast". It's odd, a game 10 years before its latest successor, has movement that's much more human, a camera that behaves like a real head instead of a fixed rig, and audio that genuinely has you feeling his need for air. I felt this in the slides, vaults, leaps... more natural, more immersive, and yes, even slightly more nausea-inducing, but in the best way possible. It's very Mirror's Edge-esque. Don't get me wrong, "The Beast" is still very polished, sure, but noticeably less... organic? Yeah, that's pretty much the succinct answer. As for the music... amazing! Excellent actually, throughout the journey as a whole, but I especially liked the track during the final climb! I swear, they must have used actual hammers and wrenches to clang against metal, which would be really fitting considering with the tower is under construction haha. Overall, a very, very good game! My only regret, is having played this one on my own, because I'm certain, just like with "The Beast", it'd have been that little bit more chaotic and enjoyable with a friend! -
Recommended Posted August 30, 2025 on Steam I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect to get THIS hooked on Dying Light !! Even after 10 years, it feels like a fine wine that only gets better with age. The parkour system is still one of the smoothest I’ve ever experienced in a game, making every rooftop escape or wall climb insanely satisfying. The combat feels brutal and impactful, and crafting weapons never gets old. What really surprised me is how the game still nails that survival-horror atmosphere : Exploring Harran during the day is tense enough, but when night falls and the Volatiles start hunting you, the adrenaline rush is unmatched. The story and characters pull you in, and the mix of freedom, danger, and immersion keeps you coming back. Dying Light is A CLASSIC -
Recommended Posted February 12, 2026 on Steam I didn’t expect to get this into Dying Light, but I did. The parkour is what makes it work. Moving across rooftops feels smooth and natural, and once you get used to it you really don’t want to stay on the ground anymore. The first time I went out at night I thought I was prepared. I wasn’t. That moment when you're being chased and barely make it to a safe spot is still one of the best experiences I’ve had in a zombie game. Combat isn’t perfect but it has weight, and crafting and exploring actually matter instead of feeling like filler. What really keeps pulling me back though is the movement. Planning a route, missing a jump, panicking, somehow surviving anyway. There are a lot of zombie games out there, but this one feels different because of how much freedom it gives you. I still boot it up just for the movement.
