• Not recommended Posted October 3, 2025 on Steam I honestly don’t care about Ultimate Team. I only play Career Mode anyway. That’s why I thought the game wouldn’t be so bad for me. However, the game feels absolutely unfinished. It’s on the level of an early access or demo. Career Mode is practically unplayable because of so many issues. Here are just a few: - Players with homesickness never recover. They stay permanently unhappy, and every offer you get for them is handled by the assistant coach, meaning every deal falls through until the club withdraws the offer. You can’t sell them, you can’t renew their contract, and they stay unhappy which ruins their performance. - Names sometimes just appear as code. Example: “Coach <!1> is in good form, let him play.” - Sometimes Match results from other teams are all 0–0 (amazing). - Players refuse to sign a contract extension with only 4 months left, and then later complain that they never got a new contract. - Messages in general often don’t appear, whether from players, the board, or the assistant. As a result, you “ignore” them without even knowing it, which damages relationships and morale. For example, if a player doesn’t get a new contract in time, they’re automatically put on the transfer list, and then the assistant coach ruins the process again (Nice idea EA). - In many situations you simply can’t react to any message at all. you can only press “simulate” and move on. - You’re spammed constantly with job offers as a manager. The assistant writes to you almost every day. In real life you could filter that out as spam or bulk delete it, but here you’re forced to simulate endless spam without any tools. - Players sometimes don’t run for the ball. Both the AI and my own players just watch the ball roll. - You randomly lose 50% of your transfer budget due to a “special event” and apparently never get it back. - The board becomes dissatisfied with you and fires you even if you win 2 out of 3 titles (Before this i had an excellent standing). - The so-called “special events” happen in clusters and the cluster is just the same event but spammed... These are just some of the issues I constantly notice, and there are many more. Gameplay wise im not a good player, but a good player would propably notice alot. The game is literally unplayable. I’ve never experienced EA FC this bad before (even though it is EA). And I’m usually someone who overlooks most bugs and doesn’t care much about them, since they dont impact my gameplay. But here it feels like driving a manual car with no clutch, no lights, no windows, and no steering wheel. I would not recommend this game to anyone who mainly enjoys Career Mode. Oh, and the menu is completely broken too... it bugs out, has a life of its own, and is terribly confusing. Sadly, I can’t even get my money back, but you can definetly keep yours.
• Not recommended Posted April 11, 2026 on Steam Please do not even play this on discount. Do not trust this company ever. Read a book, play other games, touch yourself, literally anything is better than playing EA games. I have collectively thousands of hours over FIFAs since 2013 and the gradual downfall of it has left me mentally drained. Don't touch it, don't give them anymore money. For those with the football itch, please just get an actual football, kick it around and even if you don't have friends, pass it to a wall, do kick ups or try to if you can't, at least there is something of value to be gained there. There is nothing anyone needs here, lock in and don't let their greed and incompetence waste your life.
• Not recommended Posted December 23, 2025 on Steam EA FC 26 is a straight-up SCAM. This is hands down one of the worst PC launches I’ve ever experienced. Graphics settings reset themselves and randomly force Ultra like the game knows better than you 120 FPS → 5–10 FPS at halftime, every match. Completely unplayable Stutters, freezes, bugs everywhere Zero optimization, zero QA, zero shame This isn’t “poorly optimized.” This is a broken game sold at full price. EA has perfected the art of reselling the same game every year while somehow making it worse. Same engine, same bugs, same excuses. The PC version feels like an afterthought made by people who never tested it on an actual PC. Calling this a AAA title is insulting. Calling it finished is a lie. Save your money. Save your time. Do NOT buy FC 26. If this is the future of the franchise, it deserves to be review-bombed into oblivion. Absolute trash. Disgraceful. EDIT : The game addressed the graphics reset issues and the game is sort of playable now
• Not recommended Posted December 3, 2025 on Steam Absolute garbage. I refuse to believe actual humans coded this. It is 2026 and you incompetent clowns still can't fix a simple memory leak. The game is literally unplayable after ONE match or even one half (100% GPU usage). This isn't a game, it's broken spaghetti code sold by scammers. Fix your trash optimization. F*** this game and f*** your complete lack of respect for the players.
• Not recommended Posted November 21, 2025 on Steam I want to share my experience so others know what to expect. EA Sports FC 26 has serious performance problems that appear randomly, even on decent hardware. In my case, the game runs well at first, and I can easily get high FPS in menus or during the first match. But after playing one match, the performance suddenly collapses for no reason. FPS drops to 20–30 during gameplay, animations stutter, and everything becomes extremely laggy. Restarting the game sometimes helps temporarily, but the issue always returns after the next match. I’ve tried everything: – updating GPU drivers – cleaning cache and shaders – switching between DX11 and DX12 – disabling V-Sync – checking temperatures (which are normal) – repairing or reinstalling the game Nothing provides a permanent fix. It feels like the game breaks its own performance after each match, even though no settings are changed. Considering the price of the game, these stability issues are unacceptable. Until EA addresses and fixes this problem, I cannot recommend FC 26.
• Not recommended Posted January 2, 2026 on Steam This game is a mess. I haven't played FIFA for a while (2004–2006 era), but I decided to grab FC 26 on sale, specifically for Player Career. You would think that since Ultimate Team makes them billions, they would polish the game, right? Wrong. It seems they are only interested in UT, which I have no interest in playing. The bugs I found within just a few hours: - when a goal is scored, the camera often focuses on the center of the field or a random patch of grass, completely missing the goal itself - when you kick off and request a pass, the AI will sometimes launches the ball toward the corner flag - commentators frequently discuss the wrong team while the lineup graphics are being shown These are just the obvious issues. The actual gameplay doesn't feel significantly updated from the days I played regularly. The AI is frustratingly stupid, especially defenders. My teammates often just stand still and watch opponents dribble right past them, forcing me to run back. The Career Mode itself is repetitive and boring. If you look at the social media feed feature, you see the same generic faces in the same poses over and over. Almost all coaches use generic models (except for the really big names). I can't comment on whether it has been this way for a long time, but it screams absolute low effort.
