Recommended Posted June 9, 2025 on Steam finished the dlc. the story is intriguing, the landscape is immersive, and as always, your nuts are gonna sweat. unfortunately, this is probably the most evil dlc ever created by anyone, and i am never going to touch it again. -

Recommended Posted February 15, 2026 on Steam 👍 10/10 would get emotionally destroyed again I bought this game thinking I was the main character. I was not the main character. The tree sentinel outside the tutorial area humbled me so fast I reconsidered my entire existence. Every boss fight feels like a job interview where they already decided not to hire you. The map? Massive. The enemies? Aggressive. My confidence? Gone. I’ve: Celebrated too early and immediately died Rolled off cliffs I 100% could have avoided Said “this is the run” at least 47 times But somehow… I keep coming back. The combat is so good it tricks you into thinking the loss was your fault (it was). The world is beautiful, mysterious, and filled with things that absolutely want you dead. 10/10 atmosphere. 0/10 mercy. Would recommend to: ✔ People who enjoy pain ✔ People who talk to their screen ✔ People who say “one more try” at 2:37 AM Would not recommend to: ✖ My controller Overall: A masterpiece. I have never hated something this much while loving it this deeply. -
Recommended Posted March 20, 2026 on Steam "the size of limegrave" they said. they lied. its literally a whole second map. i would estimate its around 2/3 the size of the main games map. and it's all just fromsoft flexing hard. so many fun fights. totally worth the price. 10/10 more elden ring? yes please. may i have another? :) -

Recommended Posted December 22, 2025 on Steam Don't get why everyone is hating. Yes there is more dead space on the map, and it probably could have been made more compact, but the places that are populated more than make up for it. Yes the levelling up system could have been streamlined, but doing all the major questlines and plus a little rooting around gave me more than enough scadu fragments and by the time I reached the final boss I was pleasantly surprised to find him doing very reasonable damage. Difficulty? I thought it was ridiculous at first but as I went back and levelled my shadow blessing I found it very fair. As with the base game if you get stuck on boss that does a million damage just go back and explore to power up until you can get it down, still holds true even with the open world being emptier. My biggest gripe is actually that the amazing story of this DLC is stuck behind convoluted quests that you can very easily lock yourself out of. Legit this was the most invested I've been in Elden Ring's lore and that final fight was so climactic once you've met everyone and pieced together the events of the game, but it's way too obscure and locked behind characters hidden in weird places that you have to talk to 5 times to progress the quests of. At least Ansbach and Igor the GOATs have pretty easy to follow questlines. This DLC gets 16 shadow blessings out of 20 Also forgot to mention, this DLC massively enhances co-op by providing more late game dungeons that are very fun to run through with randoms or friends without worrying about being over-levelled.
