  • Not recommended Posted December 15, 2025 on Steam Have you considered going free to play? Game is precious and holds a special place in my heart. Gameplay is unique and visual direction is on point. But it doesn't matter when the player count is so low that you wonder if the matchmaking was implemented in the first place. This game is 2 y/o as of writing this, but the numbers are just getting worse. It would be way easier to at least get my Friends™ to play if this sweaty hellscape wasn't behind a paywall (I'd buy the cosmetics either way so what gives).
  • Not recommended Posted June 29, 2025 on Steam It pains me to have to give this game a thumbs down. It has so much potential, bought & played it on day one release, hoped it would get way more recognition, & a larger player community. I was without access to a gaming PC for all of last year, so didn't get to return to it until a few days ago. Bummed to say I'm not satisfied with the current state it's in, they didn't improve on it the way I was hoping. The game still has the same issues I had with it on day one release, but I was willing to let slide. Which is the game needed better match balancing, & a less competitive grinding reward system. If it had a large & more active player count, I think I could have continue to look pass those main issue, but with the game being currently only dominated by high level player, or potential hackers/cheaters. I don't know how the devs expect any new players or a causal gamer such as myself, to ever level up or achieve any of the rewards they want you to unlock by playing or winning matches all the time. So due to that I'll have to be giving this review a thumbs down, to hopefully save any new players with high exceptions with for a balanced online matches. I wouldn't be surprised if the devs have moved on different projects, would be kool to see them try to make it more worth while to play. If that ever does happen, I'll replay & change my review to a thumbs up.
  • Not recommended Posted June 22, 2025 on Steam dude these devs caught lightning in a bottle when youtubers played their game, and it genuinely is fun, and theres no game like it, but then they decided to absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ FUMBLE it, with a handful of decisions. Like adding a bunch of different modes, when they already don't have the biggest playerbase, so it just splits people between modes, upping queue time. Or the fact that the moment they got any publicity, they started adding relatively small DLC that could've EASILY been added as a free content update. But no, they decided to paywall it. Overall just largely disappointed because this game had a lot of potential.
  • Not recommended Posted March 17, 2026 on Steam TL;DR - Game is fun, but the devs have abandoned it. Even posted plushies and straight up asked for money. Also, if you wanted to unlock Laika, you can forget it. With how inanctive the game is, it's pretty much impossible. You can't even access the map required whilst on bots. Fun to play for a few minutes. Helps that I got it cheap on sale, but the match-making is pretty much dead. However, there are bots, but you get a 25% xp penalty for playing against them, which feels harsh, given that so few people still play this game. But the bots do feel like real players, which is more than I can say about other multiplayer games. The game itself is pretty innovative, mores the pity, since the cards are actually pretty fun. So is the game overall, it does feel like a polished experience. The style and characters are also loads of fun, I personally enjoy the style quite a lot. I hope brainwash keeps it for it's future titles. The soundtrack is also brilliant. Gives the game a very comfy feeling to it. Not much else to add, whatever golden age this game has had has long since been and gone. Which is a shame. But I can see myself occasionally enjoying a bot match from time to time.
