• Recommended Posted November 21, 2025 on Steam You can tell by my hours that I LOVED this game so much that, back then, I procrastinated my final school project just so I could finish the 600+ quests, farm items to sell, tame legendary mounts, breed animals for different colors, decorate, find skins, play the seasonal events, run dungeons, participating in your live stream events, etc... It's heartbreaking that the couple behind the game separated and seemingly abandoned this game and Potion Paws </3 Thank you for the hard work you put into this beloved game, and I wish y'all the best in your future endeavors ♡
• Not recommended Posted November 11, 2025 on Steam The game was fun at first, when it initially came out. In 2018. The developers were responsive and the Discord was a nice place to be while things were being worked on. I don't know what happened, but Bitten Toast seemingly dropped off the face of the earth in 2022. Just like Potion Paws, this has been abandoned. I was looking forward to both titles growing and becoming better. There aren't even any updates on their official website. Where did you go, BT? Why won't you return my calls? :(
• Not recommended Posted January 1, 2026 on Steam This game is an endless grindfest without any real story. Yes its cute and all, but its much alike so many other games but its lacking debth Just a endless stream of mini deliever quests to "progress" Unless you like spending 300 hours catching rabbits and planting in a game with very limited enegry then stay away.
• Not recommended Posted September 9, 2025 on Steam Multiplayer bugs abound. Bugs have always been present in singleplayer and multiplayer, but multiplayer , but they have been few and far between, and usually fixed quickly by the devs. Several years ago the game was pushed to the Nintendo Switch, and there have been next to no updates from devs since. Posts online indicate huge issues with the Switch version from FOUR YEARS ago. These are relevant because the same issues exist in the current PC version as well: -Chest contents completely vanishing, eating their entire contents. -Purchases taking large amounts of gold and not giving the reward, just eating the gold. -Stoves with very expensive multi-ingredient meals being prepared (5 at a time perhaps) only giving 1 meal when finished, or entirely disappearing the meals) -Items morphing into others (a named chicken suddenly turning into a feather, a white bunny suddenly turning into a baby mallard) -Inventory disappearing after reloading the game. All of these indicate some sort of database issues / data confusion / loss. It seems the developers released a buggy patch with loads of issues to make money off the Switch version, and then abandoned the game shortly after. I understand wanting to move onto other things, but before doing so, leaving the game in a consistently playable state would be the right thing to do. For a game that takes such mass amounts of time to make any progress, to rob you of your time by deleting chest contents, corrupting items, and eating gold, it makes it hard to want to continue after it happens. And at this point, none of my friends have the energy to continue after multiple mass deletions and progress losses. They were just walking in circles during the last session, not sure how to pick up the pieces. It seems the game gets more and more unstable the longer you play. It becomes unstable if you switch areas (go into the house, go to dungeon, go to Combat Island), so after doing so you save the game, make sure all the clients quit, and then reload it just to be safe, and find out more things / inventories / chests / cooked items have disappeared. And it's a shame because it's such a cute, relaxing game. At least, it used to be. We'd love to keep playing, but it seems the game doesn't want us to. There are other games out there to play that actually work and respect the time we put in. The only way to get past these errors might be to roll back the game version to an earlier pre-Switch version (less content, but more stable). There are no fan patches, no fixes posted online, no workarounds. If you play Singleplayer, it won't be too bad, if you play Multiplayer, I'm sorry for your loss(es).
• Recommended Posted March 17, 2026 on Steam A great cozy game with a focus on production and running a shop. Very chill. Worth it if you need a different cozy game to play for a bit. - Updates: Is no longer being worked on. - Bugs: I've only experience minor stacking issues. But any existing will remain unfixed due to no further updates. - Multiplayer: Reports of rough bugs, and I can't recommend playing on it. - Romance: There is no social/romance system. - Story: Limited, don't expect depth. - Mods: It does have a small mod selection, but not many new ones being created.
• Not recommended Posted December 14, 2025 on Steam I got this game years ago, loved playing it and seeing the new patches roll in... That's until they changed the music and sound effects. They give me headaches everytime after just a few minutes. I posted on Steam, their discord and even DMed the devs there to get an option to use the old music and sounds. All they gave was a "we will look into it", then new content, but no option or mention. So I asked again and all I got was silence. Then they moved to other games -two of the three into other studio- and left this one with bugs and unplayable for me. I could accept some bugs while development was active, but after three years, I have to not recommend this game. I also got Potion Paws bundled with this one, from the same devs. That one was also abandoned in a very alpha state imho.
