Garry's Mod
Garry's Mod is a physics sandbox. There aren't any predefined aims or goals. We give you the tools and leave you to play. You spawn objects and weld them together to create your own contraptions - whether that's a car, a rocket, a catapult or something that doesn't have a name yet - that's up to you. You can do it offline, or join the thousands of players who play online each day. If you're not too great at construction - don't worry! You can place a variety of characters in silly positions. But if you want to do more, we have the means.

Recommended Posted January 3, 2026 on Steam First off, I highly doubt my comment would be notable in the sea of various other reviews but I shall post nonetheless. For the inexpensive price, you get multiple games, communities, etc, all within in single game. Although you may encounter some of the worst that humanity has to offer, you might find that one community or one friend group that makes it somewhat worth it. I've always longed to experience this game around 2006-2015, but the remnants of those eras still remain, but continue to dwindle year by year. COVID made it receive an temporary boost, an temporary boost that is only at an decline ever since. Play the game, experience perverted beauty, and always record those experiences. -
Recommended Posted January 24, 2026 on Steam this game is so tuff before this i had no friends and i was in deep depression but when i got this game my life turned for the better, i got tons of friends (including elon musk and mr beast), my dad came back and i won the lottery. i would strongly recommend. -
Recommended Posted November 5, 2025 on Steam Bought Garry’s Mod thinking it was just a physics sandbox. Ten minutes in, my friend spawned 400 explosive barrels, someone summoned Shrek with a lightsaber, and the server started playing loud Russian hardbass before crashing. I have no idea what I’m doing, but my PC begged for mercy. 10/10 — better chaos simulator than any AAA game! -
Recommended Posted July 2, 2025 on Steam I came for the memes. I stayed for the mods. I lost my life to a chair that screamed when I sat on it. In this game, physics are optional, sanity is a currency, and your best friend is a watermelon with a face drawn on it. I've witnessed: A SWAT team get obliterated by 30 angry Teletubbies. SCPs doing the Harlem Shake in a haunted Subway. Shrek flying a TIE Fighter into Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria while blasting Megalovania. This isn’t just a sandbox. It’s the sandbox — where your imagination goes to get corrupted in glorious, hilarious ways. Every session starts normal… and ends with you questioning reality while noclipping through the void to avoid a flying toilet with a gun. If you haven't played GMod yet, I'm not saying you're missing out… I'm saying you're living in the wrong universe. 10/10 "Would spawn a thousand explosives and crash my PC again." -
Recommended Posted July 8, 2025 on Steam Garry's Mod isn't really a “game” in the usual sense. It’s more like someone handed you a giant box of digital Lego, tossed out the rulebook, and just said, “Go nuts.” Facepunch Studios dropped it back in 2006, and honestly, it’s still kicking because nobody ever really “finishes” GMod, you just keep finding new ways to mess around. At the heart of it all, you’ve got this physics sandbox that’s both simple and, somehow, a little bit insane. You can spawn in a bunch of random junk, stick it all together, and see what breaks first. Build a car, glue a rocket to it, strap a mannequin on top, and watch the chaos unfold. You want to make a machine that flings toilets at breakneck speeds? Go for it. Half the fun is just seeing what sort of nonsense you and your friends can pull off. But here’s the real secret sauce: the modding community. People have cranked out thousands of custom game modes over the years, Trouble in Terrorist Town, Prop Hunt, weird roleplay servers where everyone pretends to be a cop or a pizza guy, you name it. GMod basically morphs into whatever the players want, which means you get endless replay value (and some truly bizarre experiences). Look, the graphics? Yeah, they’re kinda crusty. It’s running on an ancient engine, and it shows. But whatever, the janky physics and weird old-school look actually make it more hilarious when ragdolls start flying or props go haywire. If you’re here for realism, you’re in the wrong place. This is all about what you can dream up and break in the process. Online, it’s a total mixed bag. Some servers are organized and run tight ships, while others are just pure, unfiltered chaos, like, “what is even happening here” levels of madness. Sometimes you get gold, sometimes it’s a dumpster fire, but honestly, that unpredictability is part of the fun. To put it short, Garry’s Mod is less a game and more a limitless playground. Its real magic comes from the freedom it gives you and the wild creativity of the folks playing it. Whether you’re building something genius or just goofing off with friends, GMod’s still one of the coolest, weirdest sandboxes out there. -
Recommended Posted April 28, 2026 on Steam Don’t even bother getting s&box being a “gmod spiritual successor” At least with the actual gmod there is no ai slop, poor performance or heavily monetised items by the devs that try to make it a 1:1 copy of Roblox, and the default characters in gmod are at least more visually pleasant than those ugly sausages. Update: As of April 30th now that I’m updating it, Garry and Facepunch have outright admitted on their recent post release blog for s&box that they’re fully embracing the AI that s&box currently has and will in no way try to remove it or even stop it and calls it a “new step”. It’s honestly pathetic how much they have fallen and how ignorant they are to the game’s issues. If you want a genuine game please buy this especially now that it’s currently on sale to not support whatever the hell they’re doing with s&box as I lost all hope for redemption for the game, I can only hope the people who are also glazers for s&box can see the issues and choose not to play s&box.
