Recommended Posted December 15, 2025 on Steam 100% recommend. Especially if you're in a relationship. Might even fix things. The perspectives feel a little too real to how I can be irl. Sometimes I caught myself thinking "yeah exactly what I said" to my character realizing that's not the point. It's all about perspective. And working together to get to the end. Story was touching. Mechanics wasn't as frustrating as Split Fiction. Easier game for the special person in your life that isn't big on gaming. Only thing is one of the unplayable characters got on my nerves. But I know thats part of the point. Still 10/10 -
Recommended Posted July 20, 2025 on Steam
It Takes Two | Perfect Game Review
(100% Completion at 11.7 Hours)

It Takes Two made me realise that sometimes, dragging your romantic partner through chaos is the ultimate relationship test… but I wouldn’t know. I played this game with my gamer best friend instead of my wife, so this was an absolute breeze. Gameplay: By constantly reinventing itself with creative mechanics and surprising level design that actually makes you and your partner communicate (or argue), the gameplay in It Takes Two never got dull during our first playthrough. ★★★★★ Graphics: With many vibrant and detailed environments to cooperate through, It Takes Two often feels like jumping into a Pixar film on a sugar high. From flying through the air on fidget spinners in a kid’s bedroom to ice skating across a snow globe, the entire game was a visual delight. ★★★★★ Sound: Surprisingly dynamic and shifting appropriately with the tone of each level with lively voice acting from the main characters. However, the overall soundtrack was not as memorable to me compared to other aspects of the game. ★★★★☆ Story: Fluctuates well between funny, heartfelt, and unhinged moments. The core narrative—parents being forced to reconcile their nearly broken marriage while solving puzzles as miniaturised dolls—is earnest, but unrealistic at times. While the story scenes were well presented, I honestly found the script to be a bit cringey. ★★★☆☆ Replayability: It Takes Two was a solid one-and-done for me—fun while it lasted, but not something I’d replay unless swapping roles. Also, it would be best if you waited for a sale, since perfecting it in under 15 hours didn’t quite justify paying full price. ★★☆☆☆ Final Thoughts: It Takes Two understands that being cooperative isn’t just about playing together—it’s about problem-solving, yelling, laughing, and somehow having a great time through all the chaos. Even if some parts are a bit too quirky for their own good, the creativity and polish make it one of the best couch co-op experiences out there.
Overall Rating: 8/10, more affordable (and entertaining) than couples counselling.
-

Recommended Posted March 5, 2026 on Steam We came for a cute co-op adventure. We left with life-long guilt after what we did to Cutie the Elephant. I thought this was a game for kids, but it’s actually a 'How to become a war criminal' simulator. 10/10 – My partner cried for 20 minutes, but hey, we got the double jump upgrade. Worth it. -
