Not recommended Posted June 26, 2025 on Steam So you can decline to agree to the new invasive Terms of Service, but after the second launch of the game, the popup menu to ask if you'd like to accept the terms, will come up every single time you launch the game, with a 3 or 4 second delay, so when you go to press A to launch the story, eventually you're bound to mistime it, and end up pressing A right when the delayed menu pops up, and you end up accidentally confirming your acceptance of the new terms. That has got to be the SINGLE scummiest thing I have ever witnessed in gaming. This among so many other reasons, I can't buy anything from 2K again. Really shooting to become the next EA. -
Not recommended Posted September 23, 2025 on Steam I love Mafia 2, but unfortunately even after 5 years the definitive edition is broken as hell and it's riddled with immense amount of bugs. Play the original version instead. -

Not recommended Posted November 8, 2025 on Steam I am stopping playing all 2K games as now 2K games install spyware to collect deep personal user info, device info, IP address, GPS location, internet activity-browser history etc for its use/sale to third parties and potentially pass on to US/UK/EU government. Also i will never buy a game again from 2K games. 2K Games and Rockstar belongs to Take-Two Interactive so i will never play or buy a game again from this company this includes future Games like GTA 6 or Red Dead Redemption 3. Good Job Take-Two Interactive i am 100% sure loyal Customers and fans of games like GTA or RDR (one of the very very few games in the gaming industry which have the quality for gamers to must have and must play, cant wait for them to be released etc.) will absolutley loving such methods and practice and will buy ur products nevermind. But in my case i am done with your company for all time. -
Recommended Posted August 24, 2025 on Steam I came back to Mafia after many years thanks to having recently played Mafia: The Old Country. This new entry didn’t impress me much – an average title that will quickly be forgotten – but paradoxically it sparked the urge to finally finish Mafia: Definitive Edition and replay Mafia II. And I have to say, these two games together feel like one big mafia saga. Pros: Czech dubbing and period atmosphere – the iconic voices and authentic setting make both games a unique experience. The city feels alive, especially the opening winter chapters of Mafia II, which have an unforgettable charm. Music – a soundtrack full of classic songs (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and others) perfectly underscores the action and makes you feel like you’re really living in that era. Well-written story and characters – a gangster drama that has it all: tension, humor, tragedy, and powerful moments. The characters are memorable, and their relationships still work after all these years. Varied missions – from ordinary driving tasks to shootouts and “big hits.” Mafia II feels dynamic and never boring. Simulation-style driving model – cars have weight, you can feel them, and each one behaves differently. Combined with police patrols, it elevates the atmosphere even further. Nostalgia – Mafia II strongly recalls Driver 2, which is a huge plus for long-time gamers. Mafia II DLCs – Joe’s Adventures and Jimmy’s Vendetta add plenty of extra content beyond the main story and make up for the fact that the city otherwise serves mostly as a backdrop. Cons: Dated gameplay – at its core it’s now just a classic cover shooter with no real innovations. AI and technical flaws – enemies sometimes behave stiffly, and occasional bugs can appear. Mafia II’s ending – deliberately open and controversial. For some it’s a brilliant narrative choice, for others a frustrating cliffhanger. Mafia: Definitive Edition on PC – initially had issues running properly, which I only managed to fix thanks to a community solution I found on a forum. Mafia II: Definitive Edition on PC – surprisingly lacks Steam Cloud support, which feels like a big oversight for a 2020 remaster. Verdict: Mafia I and II remain essential experiences for anyone who loves story-driven games and gangster films. Both have preserved their unique charm – from dubbing and music to city atmosphere and dramatic twists. The gameplay may have aged, but the strength of the story and atmosphere is timeless. For me personally, Mafia II is the highlight of the series – even after fifteen years it holds up, and its combination of winter chapters, soundtrack, nostalgia (Driver 2 vibes), and tragic storyline ranks among the best this genre has offered. Mafia III? I gave it a chance, lasted three hours… and then uninstalled it without comment. Score: 8/10 – classics that haven’t lost their spark even after all these years.
