Recommended Posted November 1, 2025 on Steam Ngl after the first round I thought I was gonna refund this within 2h. Almost 7h later in one go, yeah, this is neat. It's pretty much a Lethal Company clone but with an LLM mimic feature that actually tries to make sense out of the voice clips it gets per session. When the session starts, it's not really impressive. But the longer you play (without creating a new session/lobby) and the more you yap, the more material it gets to use. Eventually the mimics become quite troublesome plus absolutely hilarious moments are gonna be a thing. [strike]Though the mimics are already insane strong at times, running straight at you, grabbing and instant killing you...that needs some tweaking. There's little point in having mimics when they could be just blatant monsters that one shot you with no way to escape. Like, even when you KNOW that's a mimic, it oftentimes just doesn't matter because it's just too strong.[/strike] Update on the mimic balance: They are definitely more common now, but they did nerf them so that they don't outright one shot you if not saved instantly. They'll grab you and will fill up your toxicity by about 75%, then drop you. That fill up happens slower now, too. So unless you're already somewhat full on toxicity, you can actually survive being grabbed without any help. Before they'd quickly fill it up to 100% every time, meaning any small mistake would mean death really. -
Recommended Posted December 25, 2025 on Steam This game is a next level mind f***. Purely to be enjoyed with friends. It will either strengthen your friendships or destroy it lmao One minute everyone's accounted for, the next you got 7 different mimics all holding the same item as you speaking sentences you said 4 games ago. And if any of you manage to get out alive, then good luck trusting each other. Gotta have a solid identification system. We've found divide and conquer to be the best strategy if possible. 2 teams split up and clear the place out. The mimics are smart and know exactly what to say and hold to trick you, so test them with emotes and new sentences. Overall really fun game though. Couple notes: 1.) Mimics strength/stamina should be nerfed juuuuuuuuust a tad. and maybe some more options to fight back? But at the same time i wanna see them get smarter! 2.) Economy could be a bit more relaxed... Not a lot of interactable/sellable items and most are very cheap, kinda hard to keep up with cost of tools and repairs. 3.) MAPS! MORE MAPS :) 4.) A backpack upgrade would be really cool! 5.) Maybe more stuff to goof around with in the repair depot? mini games, duels, items, etc.? 6.) If we can encounter mimics in the outside area, i feel like we should also be able to find items out there as well... especially with how big the area is! That being said, i certainly don't wanna see the game get TOO easy, but those are just some thoughts that came to mind. I know the game is still in early access, but its already such an awesome game and I'm super excited to see what else comes from it :) Great job guys! -
Not recommended Posted February 11, 2026 on Steam The game is fine, it doesn't do anything better than repo or lethal company, but it's got one feature that is its main selling point. Mimesis, enemies that "perfectly imitate your teammates", "imitating you and your allies perfectly. Behavior, voice, anything humans can do. " is just absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. You will meet these enemies twice and you won't ever doubt whether they're actually your friend or an NPC. They are extremely predictable, never actually behave or even walk like normal people would. They don't seem to be able to navigate the map in general very well. They'll keep running into walls brainlessly and spam voicelines that they stole from you so much that you'll realize there's a mimesis nearby even before you get to see them or get a chance to doubt if the person you see is real. They're just extremely unbelievable. Yet another perfect example of a reason to not trust steam review percentages. Just get lethal company with the mimics mod. -
Recommended Posted November 25, 2025 on Steam Developers claim that IA learn and try to accurately mimic players in every possible way. Me and my friends used a jump and an emote to spot the fake. A fake immedietaly appeared and started to jump and use the same emote. When 1 or 2 friends start dying, ♥♥♥♥♥ hits the fan really fast. 10/10 would reccomend with friends -
Not recommended Posted November 13, 2025 on Steam Mimesis is built on a genuinely brilliant idea: an AI monster that learns how players talk, mimics our behavior, and blends into the group so naturally that you can’t tell who’s real and who’s fake. On paper, that sounds incredible. But in reality, the game just isn’t polished enough to reach that vision. The AI doesn’t actually “learn” anything meaningful. Instead of adapting to conversations, it randomly repeats lines players said earlier with zero understanding of context. You’ll be trying to figure out who’s human, and suddenly the monster blurts out a completely unrelated voice line. The movement animations suffer from the same issue—they’re stiff, unnatural, and nowhere near how real players behave—making it far too easy to spot the AI. Even when you do identify the monster, the game doesn’t reward you for it. In most games, catching the imposter feels like a victory. In Mimesis, being right just gets you killed. The monster walks up, grabs your neck, and instantly one-shots you with no chance to react. There’s no teamwork payoff, no satisfying moment of deduction—just punishment for noticing. The player controls add even more frustration. The movement system feels extremely limited and clunky. Jumping is unsatisfying, like you’re hitting your head on an invisible ceiling every time. There’s no crouching at all, which removes an entire layer of mobility and immersion. Everything feels rigid, slow, and uncomfortable, making the experience less engaging than it should be. Mimesis truly has potential. The concept is creative, the atmosphere is intriguing, and the idea of AI deception could be amazing. But right now, the AI behavior, movement system, gameplay balance, and reward structure all need serious refinement before the game can become what it’s aiming for. -
Not recommended Posted February 15, 2026 on Steam Don't be fooled by all the game clips online or the positive reviews. This game is genuinely not in playable condition and becomes extremely stale fast. The AI doesn't really trick you and takes a long time to pick up on your phrases and movements. Its $10 and you could just buy a fully fleshed out game like Lethal Company, Escape the Backrooms, or REPO instead and have many more hours of fun with friends for the same price. If this wasn't a gift I would have refunded it. Edit: The Developers have been using Generative AI which is disrespectful to all other indie developers who put legitimate work into their projects. Please do not support these people.
