  • Not recommended Posted January 20, 2026 on Steam This is the most heartbreaking review. I can't believe that I don't recommend this game, because it used to be my favorite. But it is no longer that way. Here's why: I played this game in 2021-23, and it used to be THE BEST VR GAME. But dev team did everything to kill PC community. First - crossplay with console "people", second - they shifted focus on standalone game that runs on headset (basically mobile version that's just bad compared to PC). AND the last nail in the coffin was transition to new UE version that WIPED all custom maps, gamemods and basically all community work that players did. Devs thought that if they give time to modders to update ALL mods to new UE - modders will do it. It was not the case. Nobody wants to do the same job twice, this is just not how it works. The irony of that UE update is that I haven't noticed any changes to the game AT ALL. It's just the same graphics, physics, same everything. The only thing that changed is that we no longer have CUSTOM game mods, which was the most fun part. Now we only have classic CS maps and TTT. And whole bunch of empty servers. Oh! They added SKINS! WOW! Totally worth it. If you are a game dev team member who wants to make a new VR game. Just copy this game and make it slightly better. You will win the market. This game used to have so much potential, but it all went down the drain. I mean, how? It was a NEARLY PERFECT game! Solid 9/10. Best VR game on the market. I mean seriously, if somebody just make the same game, with lobbies and no matchmaking. With focus on community made mods and maps. WOULDN'T EVER break community mods with useless updates. And just focus on PC only, no console and standalone crap. This would be a #1 VR shooter game. Please, we need a new game like this.
  • Not recommended Posted November 7, 2025 on Steam Breaks my heart to not recommend this game, but it's just simply dead at this point. The game thrived on mods with players making crazy custom modes and maps. You could easily lose yourself for hours in the variety. The devs made the decision to move everything to UE 5, and in the process essentially nullified all existing mods. The issue with doing that to a game that's been out for a while is that a lot of the modders aren't actively keeping things up to date, so we lost all the COD zombie maps and have only gotten 1 or two back a WHILE later after some dedicated modders revived them. So in short, the devs attempt to shore up the game is the very thing that ended up breaking everything good about it, which has led to an exodus of the playerbase. At this point, its maybe one or two populated servers, and then a ton of private lobbies and empty lobbies. And sadly, I can't blame them. Keep in mind, this game made the move to UE 5 in summer of 2023. Plenty of time to fix it up for the modding community, so this is not just a matter of impatience but an active decision to stall / not consider it. Since the update, i've installed the game twice in the last year to see where it's at, and sadly it seems mostly everything has stopped dead in Feb. No new mods really, no new dev updates, no new mod kit expansions to allow for the people still playing to save it. Save your money and just accept that you missed out on this title when it was king, and if you pick it up now it will be a shell of it's former self.
  • Not recommended Posted August 21, 2025 on Steam Nuking the Steam Workshop for the sake of cross platform gameplay has to be the worst decision the devs have made.
  • Not recommended Posted June 11, 2025 on Steam This game used to be one of the biggest reasons to get a VR headset, tons of mods easily accessible via the steam workshop , a call of duty zombies community made mode and a funny player base. however most of that is gone as the developers have tried to turn this game into a temu CS2, by adding paid weapon skins and some sort of "pro league". The game has been killed for me and a lot of other players, the developers have turned it into just "another fps for VR" instead of embracing the community and giving them full reign to mod the game into what players want, its sad that one of my favourite VR games that I constantly recommended to people, is now slowly dying because the devs didn't realise what made this game fun.
  • Not recommended Posted October 4, 2025 on Steam Used to be absolutely awesome, back when mods actually worked. Ever since they removed workshop player count went from between 1000 - 3000 all the way down to the low hundreds. Game is dead now, absolute shame, used to be my favourite VR shooter. RIP Pavlov
  • Not recommended Posted December 15, 2025 on Steam pavlov creators, you ruined this game by changing the main way to get mods, you ruined everyones maps they workeds so hard on like lemmys maps, or oasis zombies and tons of other mods that people worked so hard on, its all gone now and what this game once was is now lost, great job devs for completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ your game up, down, sideways and diagonal, should have left it with the steam workshop the way it was and if you can turn it back to the way it was you really really should. this has been my incredibly honest review, 2020 and forward it has become "wreck everyhing" era i swear.
