  • Recommended Posted June 4, 2022 on Steam Its the opening day of my new restaurant. I start by preparing some plates and ready for my first customers. A man rolls up off the street and demands a well done stake. I already know this is going to be a bad night since my cats have better taste than this man does. I begrudgingly ruin my least favourite cut from the fridge and slap it on the grill. As its cooking a lovely couple walk in knowing exactly how a stake should be prepared. However, while I'm taking their order the first steak burns and fills the kitchen with smoke (great). I head back to the kitchen and consider serving this burned trash to the first man but change my mind. I speed cook 3 steaks in short succession, plate up and get them to everyone siting down. After they finish I am about to do the dishes when I am shut down by the city for leaving a potential customer waiting too long on the street outside in the rain. 10/10 would do again.
  • Recommended Posted June 4, 2022 on Steam Theres no music which is unfortunate Dishwasher seems kinda useless because it stores 4 plates just like the upgraded sink but takes longer to be done and once its started it cannot be stopped. Its automatic sure but its just not worth it. Game is very unforgiving which can be a plus depending on who you ask. I wouldve preferred a gamemode where you can upgrade your restaurants space and equipment and keep it despite failing a day, maybe have a dept system or something that you balance throughout some kind of carreer. Me and my friends still havent made it to day 15 so we dont know if thats when all fo that will be available. Right now it plays more like a strange rougelite. Customization of characters could be broadened to maybe any HUE of players choice aswell as unlockable outfits or something, minor thing but a very welcome addition if it happens. Progression is also kind of unclear as to how much xp you get and what not, or maybe we accidentally skipped it every single time
  • Recommended Posted September 14, 2021 on Steam So far for a playtest it's been amazingly fun! The challenge scaling is really well done and the things you unlock can add a challenge or a huge help. The balancing for less players is really nice and not overwhelming. After getting 6 star for the first time I can say my girlfriend and I will be buying this on release. My only real issue is the customer collision. Them blocking you and blocking the entrance to the building can be a bit frustrating. Especially when you're trying to clean the messes on the ground and you get pushed off to reset the progress. That and some items not having a description. (microwave, candle holder) Other than that it's really fun and I hope to see what the full release will be like. We'll keep on the playtest until it's done :)
  • Recommended Posted July 4, 2022 on Steam This is an excellent and well thought out cousin to overcooked, where the challenges are much more technical than disastrous. Like, you wont be hit by lava but you will need to figure out how the hell you're gonna serve coffee with dessert after close or you lose everything AND THEN ITS BACK TO MOMS BASEMENT!
  • Recommended Posted July 1, 2022 on Steam The mess and the stress it can give when something isnt working out is really fun. also the cooking and running a restaurant aspect is fun
