• Recommended Posted September 14, 2025 on Steam An absolutely horrible game that will consume your entire life, hunting for that last speck of muck while also causing you to look around your own living situation and judge yourself for playing a cleaning game when you live in a trash pile. 10/10, will continue to not clean my own space while playing a cleaning game.

I've played it through multiple times, and gotten as many achievements as I could stand to get without becoming frustrated with the game (because I play this game to relax)! I picked it up at the beginning of this year when I was going through chemotherapy for breast cancer, as I wanted something I didn't have to think too hard about, and could do pretty mindlessly. I was more than surprised, though, by how much I genuinely enjoyed playing the game. The text messages from your clients and friends were funny, the overarching story was actually interesting, and the maps are fantastically well done. But the best part is that you don't even have to pay attention to any of that. You can just wash things. You're a passive participant in the storyline. The actual wash mechanics are the best I've seen out of any simulator-type game. It is immensely satisfying. But all the other reviews are correct-- it is also immensely addicting. My only complaint is that the second one hasn't come out yet. I've already purchased all the DLC and unfortunately can't re-purchase, but my wallet is ready and waiting for PWS2. I have definitely purchased it for some friends that wanted to help me clean things. Might go on a spree and get it for all my friends who have it on their wishlist... hmm. [insert gnome here]

• Recommended Posted December 22, 2025 on Steam I came here to clean. I stayed because this game emotionally reprogrammed me. At first glance, PowerWash Simulator looks like a humble little “spray dirt, watch number go up” situation. You think: Oh, this will be relaxing. A background game. Something to pass the time. Wrong. This game grabs you by the hose and whispers, “You will not stop until it’s 100%.” The dopamine? Immaculate. The satisfaction of watching filth melt away under a perfectly aimed stream of water? Transcendent. The moment when ONE TINY SPECK is hiding somewhere on a roof beam and you rotate the camera like a feral raccoon trying to find it? Spiritual trial. And then—AND THEN— there’s the alien story. Excuse me??? Why is my silly little pressure washer game suddenly dropping quirky, mysterious, slightly unhinged lore about aliens and strange happenings like it’s casually seasoning the experience with X-Files energy?? I did not expect to be emotionally invested while power-washing a town that may or may not be involved in extraterrestrial nonsense. But I was. Hooked. Fully onboard. This game is perfect for passing time, losing time, and accidentally entering a meditative state where nothing exists except dirt, water, and your unrelenting desire for cleanliness. It’s cozy. It’s funny. It’s weird. It’s way better than it has any right to be. I loved it. I will defend it. And if you don’t understand the joy of seeing “Job Complete – 100% Clean,” then I am sorry, but you simply have not lived. 10/10, would wash again. 💦🛸
