Not recommended Posted November 12, 2025 on Steam Absolutely no. NO to forcing players to make an account. NO to mediocre driving physics in an alleged sim. NO to bad performance / ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics. NO to insanely greedy devs (massive monetization with dirty tricks). -
Not recommended Posted November 11, 2025 on Steam Free to play gives very limited access to the game. 1 car and barely a handful of tracks. It should be called a playable demo rather than free to play. I guess its good, because it saved me the hassle of getting a refund. The force feedback is low quality. Loose, basic, and kind of dull. It does include XESS, a rarity. The game ran graphically ok. There was some aliasing shimmer, but looks fine otherwise. The mirrors are very poor quality. It definitely needs more time in the oven. I feel bad for the devs. This is a pretty poor launch. -
Not recommended Posted July 23, 2025 on Steam For the longest time, I’ve been wondering when modern gaming’s "business model" and "player retention" strategies would creep into sim racing—and it looks like we’ve found patient zero. The game isn’t even out yet, but it already has menus set up for a battle pass, premium purchases, car unlocks, and some form of in-game currency. Thankfully, hardly anyone is playing this right now, so hopefully, this plan won’t make it to release. But whats worst - Renn does not offer or do anything better than Asseto/Automobilista/iRacing and so on, why would I put myself in to this micro transaction hell if I can just play any other racing sim? -
Not recommended Posted November 10, 2025 on Steam Positive reviews must be paid for or posted by people who have never played a racing game before, not to mention a sim. FFB is pathetic, binding keys on a steering wheel or button box doesn't work AT ALL (MOZA KS + custom Arduino-based button box), can't disable in-game steering wheel rendering (I tried really hard). The whole thing feels like an amateur made school project in UE5. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I bought it the very first day EA was released in order to support the devs, but that was obviously a mistake. Nevertheless, I wish the devs all the best, as the game has potential (for the current state, which seems to be an early alpha) and hope for the project to evolve. As for now, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! -
Not recommended Posted November 12, 2025 on Steam I supported this game as a Gold Founder because I had high hopes for it, and most importantly, it had somewhat playable VR. Now I’ve read it's already version 1.x, it looks more like 0.1. The game is ugly for something made in Unreal Engine 5. I couldn't bind the buttons on my button box. Since there's no VR, I could only test the force feedback, which feels strange. Sure, I could play around with it and assign the buttons, but why bother? I could tweak the FFB, but why bother? As for VR, I’m not even trying because, after the developers disabled it, it probably won't work anymore. Again, why bother? EVO, even in its current 0.3 version, is much more enjoyable. Honestly, I feel cheated. I paid for a game with VR support, but I got one without it. The game looks like it was made by 50 people, five of whom are developers and the rest of whom are management and PR. I don't recommend buying it at this stage of development. P.S. In the in-game store, you can buy two car liveries priced like DLC for AMS2 xD -
Not recommended Posted November 13, 2025 on Steam Anyone rating this game as 1.0 in its current state shows exactly what they think of their own product. Rennsport has more construction sites than the German Autobahn and takes just as long to address them. The cars don't feel connected to the road, the feedback is mushy and utterly meaningless. The interior and exterior sounds (e.g., Porsche GT3) aren't even worth calling bad—that would be a compliment. The content for a €50 title is more than lacking. Save your money and buy something else.
