Not recommended Posted June 8, 2025 on Steam Check my hours, I've played this game inside out. I've had some beautiful moments playing the game, intense firefights, base raids that took half a day, worked out how to break into impossible bases, spent NYE chilling in the city with the lads shooting fireworks. Good times. This is why it pains me after so much investment, to say this game is done. It had massive potential but each and every step along the way they've taken the wrong step, hyper fixating on things no one cares about, removing elements people loved, making their game a joke with the toilet humour of ten year olds. The result it that the only people playing this now are try hard wannabe Navy Seals (We're talking Tarkov/ARMA level) and the worst class of gamer bro. It's a shame. The new trailer just absolutely underlined the ridiculous tone they are going for and who they want to play their game. I doubt I'll ever check back, but maybe they'll go back to making a proper game. If you do give it a try, and you're ever in C3, visit the statue and pour one out for Big Vern RIP. [Edit. Well that's a few comments lol. It's a shame so many of them illustrate the kind of gamer I'm talking about. On the other hand some of it is fair. I 100% got my money worth. Me and the lads were rinsing it hard before they even had vehicles spending entire sessions just trying to get to the place we'd investigate tomorrow, ah man I could write books on those fantastic moments and scrolling them one of the things I noted was a lot of players with huge hours giving agreement. Some of the comments talking about different developers which dodgy practices. I wanna be clear, this ain't that. I doubt they will abandon the game and have so far been pretty consistent with updates and that, but for a long time now have just been pushing their game further towards something I've no interest in. I don't regret spending my money and being there for the ride, but I just can't recommend the game as it is. wish I could but right now, I doubt any new player for "release" is going to get anywhere near those hours and that it really a shame. Mind you, I think the reaction from folks has hit home, I think/hope that's been a bit of a wake up call, probably a few meetings and a collective head wobble. I appreciate the Dev comment, it takes a lot to take it on the chin and admit you've messed up, but it's more than the marketing, you changed the vision you had and incrementally moved further and further away. I hope if I do dip my head back in sometime to see how things are going I can wipe this and write something better. I really hope so. Fix the puppet behaviour, stop adding gimmicks, expand/improve the map, add mod support bring back the sledge x] -
Not recommended Posted May 25, 2026 on Steam The game is great, but the development team sucks. Only adding cosmetic updates with not real game content. It's all PVE on almost every server. I have almost 7000 hours in this game so I'm qualified to tell you that this game has not had any real content update since .7 in beta stage. It's been out 8 years. The dev team gives an update, later takes away the update, and then gives the same update back as a different update and acts like we are supposed to be amazed at their progress. -
Not recommended Posted August 10, 2025 on Steam It was a perfect game before full release. let me explain better. so some cheap *** developers thought REMOVING 70% of the content will make the game better. Waiting for 15-20 real life minutes inside base to dry ur clothes bc u get overweight with wet clothes its such a fun addition, i mean LESS PLAY time equals a better game. ahh and the fog its very good as well because it fits with their idea the less u play the more "imersive" the game is. i mean they should try making movies not games. Early access was MUCH MUCH MUCH better than full release. i know its a long comment but i got 1000+ hours on it -
Not recommended Posted May 7, 2026 on Steam You invest days of your life on the server grinding with teammates, stacking up and enjoying every aspect and every minute of the game, just to have a random guy with improvised stuff running around lock picking golden locks on ur base, which is the best lock in the game u could have btw, in seconds like its nothing. Its like these guys dont want their game to be played. Completely ruined with the most dumbest thing, congratz. -
Not recommended Posted May 13, 2026 on Steam I got the game after Full Version Release, so I dont know how it was before. I mostly enjoyed a lot of it. It is a bit like DayZ, but not that outdated, The crafting is nice, the visuals are great, the mechanics are mostly fun. If you know what to do (and the game DOES provide you with hints) you won't die of starvation or infections. You can find plenty of good stuff with ease and patience. However, sadly there are a lot of things that spoil the fun: 1) Mechs They can shoot through solid walls, they can spot you without a line of sight. 2) NPCs They have some kind of god aim, and when you manage to overcome 3 of these, they drop a self built pistol in poor condition (at best) plus ruined clothes. Even when you pay attention and listen, they sneak up and blast you with a shotgun. 3) Vehicles I get that these are harder to obtain, but barely any parts you need are nearby. Either the seat is missing, all tires, the engine or it is locked and without fuel. Got a bicycle once for 5 min, then it got stuck in a wall. 4) Jogging-Simulator All you basically do is run, recover, run recover, loot a bit and you get killed by a puppet, NPC or cheater to start again. And respawning is costly over time, especially when all your effort is pointless with 5): 5) Cheaters Base building or bury items is completely pointless. Your base, even with maximum security, will be destroyed/looted as soon as you log off. And one single guy with a self made bow can kill two fully equipped guys, loot all items except underwear and drive off with a motorbike within 5 minutes (and of course also loot your bank account with the secured better bank card), so you loose everything. Amount of players during that time on the server: 4. Of course. What a coincidence. How about geo-blocking players for continental servers? Like, you are from Europe, no US server for you. Especially if you use high ping as an advantage... And regardless where you bury your chests, they are done the next time you log in. I get it, you only carry the next player's gear, but this is just stupid. 6) Respawning I mentioned the vehicles already. FInally, you find one that lacks just one part which you have seen in a village before. So, heading back, picking it up, returning - and the vehicle is gone. But all chests contain new items, yay. 7) Tickets You need to create an account rather than just report an issue directly ingame. I wanted to report someone, but going through all the effort wasnt worht my time. -
Not recommended Posted July 18, 2025 on Steam Developers made it so the zombies constantly spawn in close to you, even spawning in the same room as you. It's completely ruined the fun and vibe of the game and they refuse to even acknowledge the feedback on it.
