Recommended Posted March 15, 2026 on Steam
Free, Adorable, Platformer
This is a wonderful game. It lasts an hour, its gameplay is only hinted at and never explored in depth, yet I can't help but applaud the developers' ability to make you experience great music, interesting lore, and some exciting platforming and boss fights in such a small package. All of this provides a strong sense of satisfaction and fulfillment in less than an hour. I can't help but think what a wonderful piece of work SHEEPY would be as a full game, where all its platforming, lore, and boss fights would shine as they deserve. The audio and visual design of this game is absolutely wonderful, and it makes for one heck of an experience. The sound design is something I especially have to praise, and the score kicking in at certain moments is really something. I also liked the gestures at a larger story, even if it was rather too vague. There's a specific platforming set-piece here that was absolutely beautiful to experience. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3454894409 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3454895088 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3454895718 -
Recommended Posted December 20, 2025 on Steam I absolutely loved this game. The gameplay feels smooth and satisfying, the pixel art is beautiful, and the music and sound design create an amazing atmosphere. It’s short (under an hour) but leaves a strong impression. Honestly feels like a premium indie title — I would 100% buy this if it wasn’t free. An easy recommendation. -
Recommended Posted April 9, 2026 on Steam Write down these names: MrSuicideSheep, Rob Thomas, and Thomas Lean. From now on, any game that has any of these names involved is an instant buy for me. And if the soundtrack features Lucas James, Tal, Hahlweg, or Yoe Mase, you can be sure my finger will already be itching over the buy button. How can a game like this be “FREE” on Steam? Seriously, this game is phenomenal. Far better than most paid 2D platformers out there today. Do yourself a favor: download it and play it right now. Don’t make the mistake of letting it sit in your library or leaving it for later. I repeat: PLAY IT RIGHT NOW! Depending on how much you like to explore, you’ll get 1 to 3 hours of some of the best feelings a platformer can deliver. Few platformers have gotten me this excited in my long life as a platform gamer (from now on, Sheepy: A Short Adventure sits on the same shelf as games like Inside, Limbo, Braid, Another World, Hollow Knight, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, Planet of Lana, Pid, Heart of Darkness, Captain Claw, and a few others I can’t recall right now). And don’t forget to come back here afterward and leave a super positive review, because the creators of this game truly deserve it for gifting us such a spectacular experience! 10/10! ------- (PT-BR) Anote esses nomes: MrSuicideSheep, Rob Thomas e Thomas Lean. Nota 10/10! -
Recommended Posted January 23, 2026 on Steam What an absolutely beautiful little game. Admittedly I only came across it under ‘Free to Play’ on the Steam home page unsure what to expect and the experience, however short, achieved what many games struggle to accomplish over the course of many hours. Of immediate impression is the gorgeous pixel art, rich in fidelity and wonderfully luminescent against the umbral backdrop of a derelict facility. As you play, the music imbues an emotional cadence, a sort of sonic texture colours the environment in melancholy and wonder. Very few games, at least for myself, gave me the emotional fulfillment I experienced so suddenly in ‘Passage of Time,’ as the narrow caverns gave way to open air and the atmosphere filled with music. The platforming, while not demanding, is engaging and surprisingly fun especially as your skill set for traversal increases. The levels have their fair share of secrets and hidden areas with accompanying collectables that make a second playthrough immediately satisfying. You play as Sheepy, a cute little guy, THE cutest little guy, traversing a long abandoned mining facility. Along the way you uncover the past through notes and recordings, the latter of which features narration by an unknown French researcher. You never meet him, only ever the brief remnants of his voice and yet he is such a compelling character. Much the same, Patches whom you only meet on three occasions has for himself an entire character arc: beginning, middle, and solemn end. It is outstandingly heartfelt in a way that many games never accomplish with even their mainline cast. I wish there was more. I absolutely recommend it and would happily pay for the experience. -
Recommended Posted January 15, 2026 on Steam Dude, for game that is only about an hour and a half, it was jam packed full of beautiful art, amazing music, a few great fights, and some crazy lore. If you have enjoyed games such as Inside, this is a perfect game for you. Oh, and just a bonus, IT'S COMPLETELY FRICKING FREE. Absolutely worth the time I spent on it. -
