• Recommended Posted March 16, 2026 on Steam I’ve spent quite a few hours playing this and honestly it ended up being a really nice surprise. It really captures the spirit of the older racing games from the series, with that mix of speed, chaotic items, and creative tracks that made the older titles so fun, as someone who really enjoyed Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and especially Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, I had pretty high expectations, and overall I’m very happy with how it turned out, the first thing that stands out is the driving feel. It’s very arcade like, so it’s easy to pick up and play, but there’s still a lot of room to improve and get better, drifting feels great, and once you start chaining boosts through corners you can keep an incredible amount of speed. It’s exactly what I hoped for: fast, responsive, and really satisfying gameplay, the tracks are definitely one of the strongest parts of the game. They’re varied, colorful, and often full of shortcuts or alternate paths, some tracks reward learning the layout and optimizing your racing line, which makes replaying them really enjoyable, you can tell the developers tried to make memorable courses, in the same spirit as the best tracks from the older games, the roster is also pretty great, there are plenty of iconic characters, each with their own personality and style, the animations and little details during races add a lot of charm, and it really helps make the whole experience feel lively and fun, visually the game looks really good, the environments are colorful, the sense of speed is great, and everything runs smoothly, the overall vibe fits perfectly with what you’d expect from a racing game in this universe, fast, energetic, and a bit chaotic in the best way possible, multiplayer is probably where the game shines the most, racing against friends quickly turns into intense matches with constant lead changes right up to the finish line. It’s the kind of game where you start with "just one race" and suddenly realize you’ve been playing for hours, of course, the game isn’t completely perfect, some items can be a little frustrating when you get hit at the worst possible moment, especially near the finish line, the balance is generally good, but races can sometimes get pretty chaotic, the single player mode could also have used a bit more long term variety or extra challenges. And while most tracks are excellent, a few are a bit less memorable than the best ones, that said, these issues are fairly minor compared to how fun the game is overall, the core gameplay is solid, the tracks are well designed, and it clearly respects what made the older racing games so enjoyable while still bringing some fresh ideas. If you liked the previous racing games from the series or just enjoy fast and fun arcade kart racers, there’s a very good chance you’ll have a great time with this, definitely a game I can recommend !
• Recommended Posted September 27, 2025 on Steam Sega If you read this. Make the game $40 and more people will buy it. Stop being allergic to money, This is the best kart racer since double dash and you could really milk this with a million characters from the sonic universe and beyond. but you're killing the potential by making it the same price point as a nintendo game. The switch 2 is the fastest selling console, and it was packaged with Mario Kart early on like it always is which effectively made it free for most people who were already buying S2s anyway for the large pool of IPs. you gotta out do that with a lower entry price. Yall put a lot of love and work into this game, I don't wanna see it dumped on the side cause of a bad price tag. and to those who can afford it, insta buy. It's amazing. I could also see waitin on a sale if you're unsure, the game will be here for a bit I'm thinkin.
• Recommended Posted February 5, 2026 on Steam Saw that SEGA is upset with the sales numbers of this game. It's a full game with a lot of good content, but I cannot fathom why they think people are going to pay SEVENTY DOLLARS for a kart racing game, REGARDLESS of how good it is
• Recommended Posted November 24, 2025 on Steam game is fun enough to recommend, but it's a huge bummer that DLC characters are mute
• Recommended Posted September 24, 2025 on Steam the only thing that would make this game better would be if Sega added the perfume department in the mall from Spongebob as one of the Crossworlds sections
• Recommended Posted September 25, 2025 on Steam I don't blame you if you'd rather wait for a sale as this game is comically overpriced, but trust me it is absolutely worth your time if you like kart racers. Also like... you can play as Hatsune Miku and Knuckles the Echidna in the same game bro.
