Not recommended Posted April 8, 2026 on Steam Do not buy this game, its dead and has maybe a month tops before they close shop and rob everyone who supported the project. There is just too many things wrong with this game. The worst being that its a first person melee focused zombie pvpve extraction shooter than has -NO RUN -NO DODGE -NO KICK and NO FUC**** BLOCK OR PARRY !?!?!? . . . . . . . Unless of course you are using the one class that is able to weild a shovel, because everyone knows you cant block or parry unless weilding a shovel . . . . . Its just mind blowing . . . . if thats not r*tarted enough for you then hows about zombies that scream from across the room and 1 shot you regardless of gear or health, and of course in the devs genius theyve made it unblockable ,undodgeable and unpredictable. open a door = get screamed at. walk down a hallway and turn a corner = get screamed at. Super fun times. but my favorite experience was getting hit from 2 metres away by a normal zombie but when i hit them my blade just goes straight through for 0 damage. very enjoyable. The game looked promising in its alpha development stages but they have clearly ♥♥♥♥ the bed on this project. -
Not recommended Posted January 31, 2026 on Steam After playing most of the day i cannot recommend this game to anyone. Somehow the game has only regressed since the playtests a few months ago. Loot feels awful unless you play this game's version of high roller difficulty, you're at BEST going to find a couple of pieces of green gear in a run. Searching takes much longer than I remember, rummaging through a container can take almost 2 seconds just to open it and another 4 or so to reveal the items inside. Doors all take about a second and a half to open as well, you spend SO much time fumbling with interactables its insane. The best way to farm experience for your character to unlock more perk slots is to just speedrun to the extract over and over again because extracting under any condition gives you at least 1500 exp meanwhile killing a player gives you TWENTY experience and killing a regular zombie gives you TEN experience. This leads to an absolutely miserable gameplay loop of speedrunning extracts until level 15 to unlock your character's full potential. There's very little skill expression, only a couple of weapons have the ability to block and parrying straight up isn't a thing. Missions for some reason are all linear, even between 5 separate traders you won't have more than one mission at a time because each mission is a prerequisite to the next mission, so if you get stuck on a mission your progress comes to a complete stop until you finish it. This wasn't how it was in the playtest and I cannot fathom why they changed it for the worse. The foundation of the game has real promise but it is so disappointing that in the 3 months or so they've had since the playtests they've seemingly only made things less enjoyable. For $16 on sale its not the worst thing you could buy but dark and darker is literally free and plays basically the same with the added bonus of having a few years of development and improvements under its belt. To make matters worse, this game is CLEARLY inspired by dark and darker; from the perk system, loot system and combat these devs played and probably enjoyed dark and darker at one point and somehow managed to replicate every single mistake dark and darker made over the years, apparently learning nothing from them. If the game had released as it was during the playtest I'd likely recommend it but considering how many things they fumbled that were previously in a good place and got worse, it makes me less confident in the future of the game. Also about 70% of my games start with less than a full lobby [8 players in a standard solo match, 10 in high roller) which makes me think it might just be D.O.A. Buy it if you want to support future development but the current state of the game is atrocious. -
Not recommended Posted March 24, 2026 on Steam It's a fun game. It just doesn't respect your time. PvPvE is the only way to progress without grinding out zombie kills. I've lost so much progress from sweats. Not worth the price or the time. Active player base is small and Incredibly toxic. Remaining player base and devs will be the EOS of this. -
Not recommended Posted April 23, 2026 on Steam (2nd most playtime in the game) Doesn't respect your time. 0 content patches (unless you call useless gear and weapons that nobody uses content). Wipe the game 2 months in with barely a weeks heads up, put out new wipe (with no new content), let players play the new wipe for 1 month and now going to partially wipe it again for their next "content" update. Flip flop back and forth with balance changes that have made little to no impact on actual gameplay. Not fixing (or pushing back for MONTHS) known issues in the game. Patches take weeks to come just for them to be meaningless. Don't waste your time on this game if you are wanting a PvP centered zombie dungeon crawler, since it is basically dead at all times on NA so its basically PvE 24/7. (oh, and if you are good at the game, there is a system in the game that lets players dodge ever fighting you. so if the game has been dead all day, and another team finally gets on and you kill them 1 time, they proceed to dodge you the whole time you play). Great game design, awful dev team. Maybe one day you will spend money on advertising and upgrading game servers etc instead of paying streamers to come play the game 1 time to 100 viewers and gain 0 concurrent users from it. Just announce EOS or get DIRECTOR RAY (SDF 2.0) out of the driver seat. -
Recommended Posted February 3, 2026 on Steam If you're wondering why the reviews are negative it's because this game pulls from the Dark and Darker community who are incredibly insufferable when it comes to how a game should be balanced or played. Just go look at the reviews for that game, they all hate it but they play it anyway. For a DaD clone this game is great. -
Recommended Posted January 29, 2026 on Steam
TMW - Honest Review
Review at - 1.1 Hours I personally love this game its a great PvP/PvE extracting game good for solos and groups i suggest everyone give it a try especially if you like dark and darker its new fresh game. It needs some balancing for the weapons and better loot spawns feels like i can never find gear in the high tier areas but i did only play 6 matches tho AND a huge thing is PLEASE ADD BOSSES/BOSS ROOMS with move sets (Comment if im stupid and just cant find them), i can't wait to see what this game holds.
Edit
review at 14.7 Hours Im really enjoying my time playing the game runs smooth an now that i've put more time i got to explore it looks great i love how each floor had so much time and effort to make the vibe so different on each, Hit reg is a bit buggy for zombies. But low player count is a let down i hope they sponsor a large creator that could bring players i know they just got their first payout praying they reinvest!! (Also game needs a block or parry system) Combat is a bit dry.
