  • Not recommended Posted January 12, 2026 on Steam my name is EA and i love to make half a game and charge thousands for the rest of the game!
  • Not recommended Posted April 30, 2026 on Steam TS4 has become awful, the packs are insanely expensive and often broken with full of bugs/issues. This game is no fun without dlc, you can barely do anything. There is a pack to have pets, to play and go to high school and to even have seasons, all not part of the base game. And just for those 3 packs you have to pay 120€, not to mention the pre order content you'll never have if you didn't get the pack when it released. The whole multi million company is just greedy. And to imagine they took YEARS to make "playable" babies/infants in the game, but don't forget how you'll need another 40€ pack to even get the full gameplay. Unless you are some rich person with money and time to spend on this so called life simulator game, I would not recommend this unless you are willing to play with mods that break every single update. Have a nice day now :)
  • Not recommended Posted March 22, 2026 on Steam Warning to new players and veterans: stop spending money on this game. I have 450+ hours in *The Sims 4*. I bought 32 DLC packs. I regret it. The full price of this game exceeds $1,600. After all of that, the experience remains unstable, incomplete, and dependent on mods to function properly. A new in-game marketplace with virtual currency has now been added on top of the existing DLC model. Pricing structures are designed to encourage repeated spending through bundled currency and leftover balances. Custom content creators receive roughly 30% while EA takes the majority. The community that sustained this game is now another revenue channel. Bugs persist. Packs release in poor condition. Core systems remain underdeveloped after more than a decade. This model exists because players have supported it. I did. That support signalled that this level of pricing and monetisation was acceptable. The result is a 12-year-old product built around extracting ongoing spending from a loyal player base. If you are new, do not enter this ecosystem. If you are a veteran, stop purchasing DLC and engaging with the marketplace. The only meaningful response is to withdraw financial support. Do not spend money on this.
  • Not recommended Posted November 23, 2025 on Steam Almost $1,200 USD to be able to play the game like it was meant to be played. EA deserves to go bankrupt.
  • Not recommended Posted April 12, 2026 on Steam GREED. We all know what kind of game The Sims is. This game has been out forever and I cannot fathom how GREEDY this company is!! Genuinely, literally, over $1400 if you want all the DLC, then they add a MARKETPLACE with MICROTRANSACTIONS???? Absolutely not. It's nice that EA "wants" to "support" the modding community, but they essentially broke all mods people already had, then they want to keep 70% of the profits from the modders that actually did the work? Don't even think about purchasing this. There are other ways and other games that are cheaper than this. The free game isn't even worth it, there's practically nothing to do and the fact that it's only recently free when it was $60 for the better part of 8 years? This is absolutely asinine. I've been playing the Sims since I was a kid and this is as disgusting as a game company could possibly get without adding AI generated features or a monthly subscription. With how it's been, I wouldn't be surprised if that's next up. Do. Not. Buy.
