  • Recommended Posted November 12, 2025 on Steam Everyone's reviewing the driving part of this game and yeah it rules but have you taken a look at the reference section and read one of the bios for a driver and it's like "this girl lost her boyfriend 6 years ago and she cleans the car every day in his memory" and there's 9000000 drivers and they all have bios like that. And then you race against a driver named MJ6Feet6 and you google Michael Jordan's height and sure enough

  • Recommended Posted September 17, 2025 on Steam In my 40s, i feel like a teenager again with TXR! This game feels like an upgrade from the dreamcast days. The cars feel good, the highways have that same smell but new polish. If you were a fan of the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series of yesteryear... WELL BUY THIS RIGHT NOW!!! With all of the upcoming updates for the full release, this game just keeps giving and giving. I can finally let my dreamcast rest and put the PC to some good highway haulin fun!
  • Recommended Posted July 11, 2025 on Steam in all honesty, one of the most unexpected yet faithful game revivals this generation and I'm happy to see it return [i]...despite one crucial, fatal flaw. I don't know how many of you actually played the OG Tokyo Xtreme Racer, but this commits an act of inconceivable, unforgivable aura loss by relegating the action of returning to your garage to a pause menu press. we used to have to take the off ramp and actually exit the highway to end the session. that was actual mechanical swagger. let me take the off ramp. let me exit in style. • Recommended Posted September 23, 2025 on Steam for me, tokyo xtreme racer is such a breathe of fresh air in the racing game genre. i've been a forza horizon player since 2017 and have played Forza Horizon 4/5 and Crew 2/Motorfest. i have gotten bored with dripfeed, f.o.m.o content, and lack of progression. but tokyo xtreme racer is different, in a good way, as it feels like a 2000's console game. the game gives us some starter cars to race on a beginner's level until we gradually move up to faster cars like midnight club la and forza motorsport 4. the game allows us to unlock more upgrades through progression and some iconic cars can be unlocked through the in-game credits with no microtransactions. the sense of speed is also immersive as 140 mph feels fast in the game unlike the more recent forza/crew titles. tldr: 10/10 so far, an excellent racing game with no fomo, no microtransactions, and in-game rewards.
