Not recommended Posted April 17, 2026 on Steam To anyone wondering why this game is p2w. Each new season they add a season mechanics and with it comes a pet. Without the pet, the money you make from it is meh. Pets make you deal WAY more damage. The best grinding methods requires certains pets. Also the new OP char release each season is locked behind a battle pass. Pets are locked behind a gacha and anyone saying pets are not mandatory are straight up lying and on copium. I tried to follow a build I was supposed to deal around 30millions damage. I got the exact same items as the build and I was at 18millions. Turns out having 3 damage orange pets level 6 was the difference. I quit the game after that. -
Not recommended Posted October 6, 2025 on Steam Generally, the game is good. There are plenty of things to do and smooth transitions between locations. FPS is stable. That being said, the monetization is horrible. You will never be able to achieve the same progress in the same amount of time as someone with level 6 pets. The predatory system is designed to exploit basic human instincts, making it difficult for those without strong willpower to resist the urge to swipe (spend money). Let me explain in detail just how bad the pet system is in this game, especially when compared to what a free player experiences: 1. Seasonal Pets & Mechanics Every season, a new pet is released along with a new endgame "mechanic." The pet is directly tied to this mechanic and determines how much loot you can generate. Without the pet, you’re already behind. 2. Massive Progress Gap Free players are stuck progressing around 14x slower compared to players with a level 6 pet. The gap is massive and discouraging. 3. Unfair Early Advantage Anyone who swipes for the pet at the start of each league gains an immense advantage over free-to-play players. This early boost snowballs quickly, making it hard to catch up. 4. Pet Leveling is Pay-to-Win PETS wouldn't be such a problem if you only needed to buy them once but they must be leveled up to level 6 to be effective. And to level them, you have to swipe and the odds are not in the favor of the spender. The difference between a level 1 and level 6 pet is like night and day. A level 1 pet might give you 2x rewards from a mechanic, while a level 6 pet can generate 14x more loot in the long run, compared to a free player. 5. Battle Pass Manipulation Each season, a battle pass is released. The issue? It includes an "auto-loot" function but only if you own at least one pet. That means free players are stuck clicking manually to pick up currency, while swipers enjoy full automation. Inconvenient, right? It’s just another predatory system designed to wear you down and make you spend. 6. Two Types of Pets, Two Layers of Monetization This game has two types of pets: Combat pets Mechanic pets If you thought only the mechanic pets created disadvantages, guess again. Combat pets are outright pay-to-win offering direct power gains. This gives paying players a huge edge in reaching endgame faster and dominating the economy. Once they get there, gear prices skyrocket often inflated 20x. At that point, no matter how many hours you put in as a free player, you simply can’t keep up. And that’s by design another psychological lever in this monetization scheme. The most concerning part? This kind of monetization fosters negative experiences and targets the most vulnerable communities. People who can’t recognize the psychological tricks or who struggle with things like gambling addiction, fear of missing out, or a need for power over others are most at risk of falling into the trap. And the game preys on them deliberately. -
Not recommended Posted July 16, 2025 on Steam Another sleazy griftcore app pretending to be a real game. There *might* be a decent game in here somewhere, but it’s completely smothered by alerts and shady psychological tricks wrapped up in a flashy UI. It's designed to herd you toward a *free prize* that’s really just a lure for your credit card. It’s not a game, it’s a cash grab in a cheap disguise. -
Not recommended Posted January 16, 2026 on Steam This game is utter garbage. Corny mobile game monetization completely plagues this game. They stone-wall your builds against act bosses by introducing timers to incentivize you to spend money or copy someone else's build. Also, there are bonus stats locked behind gacha mechanics. And they're comparably significant to the passive skill tree points you can spend, except that you have to swipe your credit card for them. Could you imagine if any other ARPG had passive tree nodes locked behind a gacha mechanic? This game just has such terrible and opaque UIs that it's not immediately apparent that's what's going on. Don't waste your time on anime fan service gacha shovelware. -
Not recommended Posted October 11, 2025 on Steam Completely devoid of almost everything that made the Torchlight series so great. Anime marketing for some reason? This studio has no idea what they're doing with this IP and it's really sad. Pay2Win content and predatory monetisation. Don't give this company money. -
Not recommended Posted April 10, 2026 on Steam You'll hit a wall on a lot of different builds you try, and realize that scaling it into the deepest form of end game requires swiping your credit card to gain character power. Even if you do swipe, you're going to need to gamble for that character power. There's of course plenty of builds that scale well into the endgame with enough focused strategy and grinding, but trust that the scaling factors present in this game will feel limited to actual dollar amounts you've put in your account to attempt purchasing that power. Don't waste your time on this game, there are plenty of other ARPGs on the market that are worth it.
