  • Not recommended Posted December 25, 2025 on Steam This hidden gem has a massive gotcha that forces me to recommend against it: If for any reason you stop playing for more than 24 months, they "archive" your account, where they put it away for good, but don't bother to let anyone know about that. On their FAQ they're supposed to send you several warnings about that first, but they did not warn me at all (accounts are tied to emails, checking my email history I have no such messages from them). My characters, however, are still listed in the guild my friends and I had put together, so it was assumed that I would be able to return to the game. However, trying to recover my account, I was informed (several days after I inquired) that my account is archived and cannot be recovered. Great way to reward customers trying to come back to the game, guys!
  • Recommended Posted February 7, 2026 on Steam As a player who played since the beta, the game is better than it's ever been, solid 8/10. It's one of the most unique mmorpg's out there, and being nearly 14 years old, it has a lot of content to explore. It's also one of the least p2w mmo's out there, monetization is mostly achieved through cosmetics (most of which can be purchased with in game money) and a 6€/month optional subscription (which can also be purchased with in game money) but you can also buy in game money with real money.... For a long time it felt like the devs were waiting for the game to die, making questionable changes at a very slow pace, but recently it seems like ankama reinvested massively into the game as the devs have been pumping out banger patches, some examples include : - reworking ALL of the game's UI's to modernize them and make them better - reworking and rebalancing all the classes in the game - great events (including an amazing seasonal server event, the neo-servers) with free cosmetics as rewards - new content, with new dungeons, bosses, gear, areas, increased level cap, etc. - lots of big qol changes The rate of change is still kind of slow overall, and there's still a lot to improve, but with the recent changes i can confidently say that the game will still be around and kicking for the next 10 or so years if not more, it feels pretty populated right now (don't trust steamcharts, the vast majority of players play through the ankama launcher), and the future of the game is looking very promising. For me personally, it's not yet at a point where i would make it my main game and play it every day, but it's an amazing game to return to every now and again, and i look forward to what the devs are gonna do next.
  • Not recommended Posted November 8, 2025 on Steam Ankama deleted my character with all payed cosmetics after not playing for less then 2 years. Give me my money back SCAMMERS.
  • Not recommended Posted March 6, 2026 on Steam Good game but greedy company. Don't expect anything good from Ankama, they have good ideas but destroy them by thinking money first and players next (if they think about their players at all). Been playing Ankama games since highschool, you start by loving their games but once you get to the point where you wait new content you realise that they don't respect their players, they don't correct bugs, they lie, and they always got away with it but today I had enough giving them a 234th chance.
  • Not recommended Posted September 13, 2025 on Steam Game requires you to have a registered phone number to connect to a server. "Sorry, your country isn't covered by our SMS service." ...Great.
